Meet your 2014-2015
Lieutenant Governor Elmira Hello Division 74! My name is Daisy Marshall and for the next year, I will be YOUR Key Club Lieutenant Governor. I am 17 years old and I am a junior at Elmira High School. When I have free time I like to ride bikes, play piano and ukulele, watch movies, travel, and spend time with my huge family of 7! When I find any free time that is. I have become very busy balancing school, key club, family, other community service organizations, hanging out with friends, spending time with god, AND working a part-time job after school every day. As your LtG, during the next twelve months, I will represent you and your school at board meetings, keep you informed about districtand division-wide events and programs, and act as a resource in case you have any questions. I will basically be the glue that sticks your school’s key club to the other clubs in our division and the string that ties you to the Key Club organization at a higher level. I have spent the last few months learning as much as I can about the position of LtG, finding out what my duties are, and thinking of ways I can go above and beyond to make sure this year rocks! I have also gotten a TON of advice and guidance from our previous Lieutenant Governor Ben Scranage- who has done an amazing job building our division during the last year, so be sure to give him a big thank you for all of his hard work! One of my goals for key club this year is to get to know you all better. I love meeting new people, although I probably won’t remember your name… (Sorry!) I want to know what changes YOU would like to see in our division as well as what things you would like us to continue doing. Feel free to contact me anytime if you have questions, concerns, or input about key club. I also like to talk about movies, clothes, and life in general (if you just need someone to talk to.) I can’t wait to get to know you all in person!

District Convention
2014 “Level up in Service” I am happy to announce that DCON this year was a roaring success! In the first week of April, right in the middle of beautiful Seattle, Washington 1,700 Key Club members from six states and provinces got together to learn about the many different aspects of Key Club, gain knowledge and inspiration to bring back to their clubs, and bond with other students that share a love for service. I got the opportunity to attend this convention for the first time this month and I was amazed at the incredible energy and support that our division demonstrated. We had 26 attendees-much more than ever before! With awesome retro Tshirts, pom-poms, and nerd glasses our division really brought the spirit this year. We all had the opportunity to attend several workshops and forums with tons of topics ranging from The Eliminate Project to How to Ask a Girl on a Date. We also had motivational speeches, a talent show, contests and awards, executive elections, and a wonderful performance from the (oh-sobeautiful) Joseph Vincent. The final night was closed out with the induction of the incoming District board and the tearful retirement of the outgoing board followed by the crazy celebration known as the Governor’s ball. The newly elected board will do amazing this year. Especially our new executives. I can’t wait to see what this year has in store for us all! My every muscle is sore and I’ve only gotten 8 hours of sleep in three days, but I wouldn’t trade this past weekend for anything! I have so many great ideas for DCON 2015 I hope to see you all there!
