According to the Energy Security and Independence Act, after May 1, 2013, homes are required to be equipped with high-efficiency furnaces. It’s as if I’m a spectator and the conversation will go on with or without my participation. When you are trying to build a relationship, the most obvious way to avoid making the other party feel this way is to ask questions – lots of them. After all, not only do you learn about their situation, you also make them the most important participant in the conversation. But there is another way to ensure that they feel valuable: do some homework before you meet with them.
