FREE PROGRAMS Through AgeSmart Community Resources

AgeSmart Community Resources, offers information and resources to those over 60, their caregivers, individuals with a disability and veterans. AgeSmart is piloting new programs to help older adults live independently, stay active and learn new things.

The Learning Channel

Free online classes, designed to keep the mind active, engage with others, and stay connected, are available to those over 60. These Zoom classes, taught by retired educators, are simple and fun! To register or learn more, log into www.agesmart.org. Powered by GetSetUp.

Mental Health Counseling

Many seniors deal with social isolation, anxiety and depression. Free mental health counseling, provided by licensed counselors with Chestnut Health Systems, is available over the phone in the privacy of one's own home. Help is available for caregivers over 60 and in crisis as well. Call 618-877-4420 and ask for AgeSmart Cares. All calls are confidential.

Medical Equipment Education

Need help adjusting to a new piece of medical adaptive equipment? AgeSmart has partnered with Adaptive Equipment Corner to offer free educational and instructional videos of how to properly use and adapt to medical equipment. For a limited time, clients may access these instructional videos at www.AECorner.com and use the code AgeSmartCares.
