Sarah Donner with Money for Guns at the Stone Spiral Coffee & Curios Tuesday, Aug 6 6:00p to 9:00p 2500 Sutton Blvd. • Maplewood, MO (314) 335-7388 • www.stonespiralcoffee.com

Indie folk/pop musician Sarah Donner brings her strong vocals and unique songwriting to St. Louis on August 6th. She will be performing at The Stone Spiral Coffee and Curios with Will Saulsbery from Money For Guns a local country rock band by way of Columbia, MO. Their 2011-2012 debut CD American Trash garnered good reviews and word-of-mouth. The “Sarah Donner and the Sleepy Kitten” video and “The Motherf**cking Pterodactyl Song” co-written with The Oatmeal catapulted Sarah into weblebrity status with over a million views on YouTube alone. Her music has been featured on Conan O’Brien’s blog, NPR, and CBS News. Sarah Donner is an indie folkpop star who works the stage with powerful vocals, a punchy guitar, and a candid stage presence that is all Sarah Donner. Fossil of Girl (released May 2012) is her fourth self-produced studio album released on her label CatLady Records. It was engineered by Owen Lewis who has worked with Lady Gaga, Chris Brown, The Killers, and Snow Patrol. Sarah’s music has been licensed for television shows on Discovery networks, Bravo, MTV, VH1, and Showtime. Stone Spiral Coffee & Curios is a special coffee shop located next to Ryan Hummert Memorial Park in Maplewood. In the evenings music and poetry and chess are served up with the coffee. Stone Spiral Coffee is proud to be a part of the Maplewood Community. The eclectic decor (featuring local artists’ works) creates an inspiring atmosphere for the poets, writers, artists and musicians who frequent “the Spiral”.

Sister Cities Cajun and BBQ at 4144 S. Grand (just north of Ted Drewe’s) is new to the area, but is already a South City favorite garnering glowing reviews since its doors first opened in DATE. Customers keep coming back for the signature seafood gumbo and the incredibly tasty fried potato salad; sometimes twice in the same day! The formidable cajun nachos can easily satisfy two appetites and the smoked wings have been described as “ridiculously good”. Chef Travis Parfait has his roots in Southern New Orleans, but experience all the way North to Alaska. He pays respect to St Louis with a variety of smoked meat offerings including the smoked prime rib philly topped with a velvety white cheese sauce and a smoked burger complete with onion straws, bbq sauce and your choice of cheese. Proprietor Pamela Melton has a lifetime of experience in the restaurant industry and is always on hand to ensure the quality and preparation of each and every menu item; some of which she prepares herself. Her welcoming demeanor will be an asset behind the bar, which she assures us is coming soon. With ample portions and nothing on the menu over $10, you have to give this place a try.
