If you love the blues then Beale on Broadway is an essential Saint Louis experience. You don’t need to check their schedule before you go because as Beale on Broadway’s web site states there is “Live Blues Seven Nights a Week,” and that is what you get. Beale on Broadway presents local and national acts featuring the best in Blues, Soul and R&B. It’s the place that St. Louis visits for a night of great music. In addition to performances offered every evening from the best artists around, Beale on Broadway has also become home base for some of the city’s best blues players. A short list of some of the great shows you can see performing on a regular basis includes: Kim Massie and The Solid Senders on Tuesdays and Thursdays; Roland Johnson Soul Endeavor on Wednesdays and Saturdays; Ground Floor Band on Thursdays and Fridays; and Big aMike Aguirre on Sundays Beale on Broadway is located at 701 S. Broadway in Downtown St. Louis. For more information about the venue and upcoming acts please call 314-621-7880 or visit Beale on Broadway on the web at www. bealeonbroadway.com

Tips to keep your house warm this winter Winter is here, and with it the cold.
Kitchen Open:
We promise summer will come again, but in the meantime, heating professionals have some tips for how you can stay warm and maximize the efficiency of your heating system: Check for drafts. Use a rolled-up towel or blanket to block air around doors and windows, or painter's tape. Utilize sunlight. Open curtains and blinds during the day to let sunlight it, which can help warm your home. Close them again at night.
Monday - Saturday: 11 am - Midnight Sunday: 12 pm - 10 pm
Bar Open Until 3AM Friday and Saturday

“St. louis’ best steaks” - rft readers poll 1999-2013
Close the damper. When you are not using your fireplace, keep the damper closed to prevent heat from going out the chimney. Break out the blankets. Use extra blankets on your bed at night instead of heating the entire home. Maintain your heating system. Changing the filter and getting a professional inspection or tune-up can ensure your system is working as efficiently as possible. Reposition the sofa. If your sofa or any furniture is positioned in front of a radiator, you are most certainly wasting money heating something that doesn’t need heating. As the days and weeks become colder, rearrange your furniture away from radiators so when the heating comes on you feel the full effect. Leave the doors open. there are certain doors that if left open actually increase the heat. The next time you put the shower on or run a bath, leave the door open and let the heat and steam travel into adjoining rooms. This also works in the kitchen. Leave the oven door open after cooking (obviously be careful if you have small children) and use the heat to warm the house. This might sound bizarre, but it works.
