DALE COMMUNITY PRIMARY SCHOOL CHARGES AND REMISSIONS POLICY

The Charges and Remissions Policy of Dale Primary School is written in accordance with the Education Reform Act 1988. This Policy applies to any activity, which takes place during school time as defined by the Act. Individual Music Tuition Parents will be charged tuition fees by outside tutors who teach on the school premises within school time. Parents will also pay any examination fees that may be incurred. Ingredients/Materials for practical subjects The school encourages parents to provide materials for practical subjects where appropriate. No child will be disadvantaged because of the parent’s inability or reluctance to pay. Lost School Equipment, Books etc The school expects parents to replace or purchase items of school property which are lost or damaged off the school premises. Breakages and damage to school buildings, furniture or property Wilful damage to school buildings or property will be charged to parents by the school. This charge also forms part of the school discipline policy. All monies will be collected by the School Business Manager. The amount will be recorded and maintained within School Funds. Monies will be used for the appropriate purchase of replacement of goods/services as stated in this policy. Educational Visits and Journeys Please see separate policy.
