Welcome to Art Ball 2013: UNTITLED. On this UNFORGETTABLE night, we come together in celebration of the Dallas Museum of Art and reaffirm the vital role it plays in our city. We hope you enjoy this UNEXPECTED evening that will UNDOUBTEDLY highlight our UNPARALLELED Museum— and Arts District. This evening would be UNIMAGINABLE without the generosity of Tim Headington and the Headington Companies on behalf of The Joule Hotel & Retail, this year’s Presenting Sponsor. Tim Headington has been a generous supporter of Art Ball for many years—we are ever grateful for your significant impact. It has been an honor to serve as this year’s Art Ball Chairmen. We also wish to thank our phenomenal committee for their UNDYING support this past year. First and foremost, we want to thank the Honorable Mike Rawlings and Micki Rawlings for serving as Honorary Chairmen. We are grateful to our incredible Host Committee members for their hard work in procuring the UNBELIEVABLE packages in this year’s auction. Your UNWAVERING dedication made this a one-of-a-kind event! We also want to extend our deepest appreciation to the incredible

staff at the DMA, who left no stone UNTURNED in assuring the success of this year’s event. It is with deep respect and gratitude that we acknowledge the following people for their UNBELIEVABLE contributions to Art Ball 2013: Cartier, our Dinner Sponsor; Classic BMW/BMW of Dallas, for sponsoring the Ultimate After Party; Faye Briggs, for sponsoring the evening’s Floral and Décor; the Gene and Jerry Jones Family, for sponsoring the Young Artists Program; and Nancy and Richard Rogers, our Entertainment Sponsor. We deeply appreciate Todd Fiscus and his UNSTOPPABLE team at Todd Events. Where would we be without your creative energy? You made tonight UNFATHOMABLY extraordinary! And, finally, we extend our deepest gratitude to you, our UNBELIEVABLE guests, for your generosity. Your support will allow the DMA to share its collection with all visitors in meaningful and interesting ways for generations to come. With appreciation and affection,

Friends and patrons, it is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the 48th annual Art Ball. Over the past thirteen years, Art Ball has raised more than $18 million to support the Dallas Museum of Art’s mission of engaging and educating the community. It is with deep gratitude that I recognize our Chairmen—the indomitable duo, Jennifer Karol and Catherine Rose—whose tenacious efforts have made this year’s Ball truly a one-of-a-kind event. Similarly, I want to thank our Honorary Chairmen, the Honorable Mike Rawlings and Micki Rawlings; your dedication to the Museum is greatly appreciated. How fitting for us to celebrate Art Ball: UNTITLED, as the Museum has truly become a one-of-a-kind institution. Thanks to your incredible generosity and unwavering commitment, we were able to not only open our doors to the public free of charge but also begin an unprecedented free membership program. The ongoing support of Art Ball will enable us to continue to grow passionate and involved audiences. Please enjoy this evening as we celebrate this year’s accomplishments and the Museum’s future successes.
