young artists program The Young Artists Program, developed under the auspices of the Art Ball over eighteen years ago, is the Dallas Museum of Art’s most extensive and ambitious K–12 studio-based educational program. It is an annual collaboration between the Museum and public and private schools in the Dallas area. The program invites students to study a selected culture, artistic period, artist, or theme and create original works of art based on their studies, for display at the Art Ball. The cost of art materials is funded by the program, and Museum visits and resource materials are available to teachers and students free of charge. The students’ works are installed in the DMA and on view to the public preceding the Art Ball. Since its inception in 1995, the program has provided an opportunity for artistic expression among thousands of students and has grown to support partnerships between the Museum and participating schools and teachers throughout the area, as well as strong relationships with our community’s students and their families. This year’s Young Artists Program is generously sponsored by the Gene
