The Dallas Symphony Orchestra (DSO) is the largest performing arts organization in the Southwest United States and has been at the forefront of arts and culture in Dallas since its founding in 1900.
In a recent economic impact study conducted by Inspire (a division of Bain Consulting) it was determined that the DSO contributes $107M in revenue annually to our local economy. Impacting jobs, education, and arts engagement. We are truly one of the economic drivers that makes doing business in Dallas so attractive. Each season, the DSO serves more than 243,000 patrons, including 35,000 children, through more than 200 concerts and over 20 signature educational and community engagement programs.
In spring of 2022, the DSO Board of Governors approved a new 2022-2025 strategic plan to broaden the orchestra’s long-term engagement with the North Texas community. With initiatives such as the DSO education programs, which increase access to music training programs and Youth Concerts, the Women in Classical Music Symposium, which elevates the role of women in the industry, along with goals to enhance the concert experience and the use of technology, the DSO is beginning a new era.
The Dallas Symphony has also expanded the ways in which it interacts with the community by challenging the traditional concert experience, experimenting with programming and collaborating with other organizations and artists. This includes efforts to share DSO concerts through digital platforms. During the 2021-2022 season alone, the DSO’s televised concerts and online performances engaged more than 5 million viewers around the world and has grown since to over 9 million viewers.
In partnership with your company, the Dallas Symphony would be grateful for the opportunity to work to further your client engagement opportunities, strategic marketing and brand goals, and community outreach commitments.
