Range of options Novus View-i cameras come in a range of options that include high-definition wide angle lenses, twin lenses (front and rear) and infrared for night time recording. Additionally there is a lockable model where the SD card can be locked inside the camera to prevent any unauthorised tampering with evidence. HD models can be equiped with an additional camera that can face the rear (as a revsering camera), to the side (to cover blind spots) or focused to record the interior of the vehicle (ideal for minibuses and taxis).

Unique software features The easy-to-use Novus View-i software enables analysis of driver behaviour and events during an incident. Three-axis accelerometers allow you to see harsh braking or acceleration, the direction of impact and even the severity of an accident. It can also be used to determine whiplash injuries Enabled with GPS, the software links to Google Maps to show you the position of the vehicle and its speed. It also records accurate date, time, longitude and latitude data which support the recording if used as evidence in court.
Single lens software images and data
The Novus View-i software is 32bit Data Encrypted and meets the current FIPS140-2 standards. This means the recorded video files can only be replayed through the dedicated PC player and not through other programs such as Windows Media Player, Real Player, etc. The software is also password protected to ensure additional security and to conform with the Data Protection Act.

The View-i software includes an ECO Drivers Report functions – you no longer have to trawl through hours of video data to see how a driver has behaved – making it ideal for insurance companies and fleet managers alike. Single Lens Cameras A single lens camera is designed to records the driver’s view of the road. Situated behind the rear view mirror the camera will record the journey. One of the main benefits of driving with a single lens camera is reassurance that in case of any accidents will be recorded to provide undisputed evidence. With increasing numbers of “Crash For Cash” scams resulting in higher premiums, the evidence can help speed up investigations and close claims. This is the ideal camera for anybody with any vehicle who wants to record the journey.
Dual Lens Cameras A dual lens camera has all the benefits of the single lens but more! The dual lens cameras are designed with a lens to record the road ahead and a second lens to face either the driver or passengers – both lenses in one unit. This is ideal for transport managers if they wish to record the driver or staff on board the vehicle. The 149◦ viewing angle on the internal lens makes it ideal for Taxis and Private Hire vehicles as it comes with an infrared module to assist with night-time vision.

Add-on Cameras The Novus View-I HD Silver camera has an AV In to allow an optional second camera to be attached to work off the same system. The second camera comes with a 10m extension cable so that the camera can be fitted at a rear of a vehicle to face passengers in the far back. If a monitor is added to the kit, then the add-on camera can also act as a reversing camera.
Lockable models Our single and dual lens cameras also come as a lockable model that protects the SD card from unauthorised removal complying with data protection standards. These cameras, available as both Silver (single-lens) and Ruby (dual-lens)configurations, are approved by Transport for London and most local authorities for public conveyance vehicles and taxis.
