Damiano Meo

Born in 1983 in Mazara del Vallo (TP - ITALY), a multicultural and Mediterranean town. Studies: First degree in Languages and Modern Cultures (Arabic and English) at Palermo University. Specialized degree in Languages and Cultures (Arabic and English) at Catania University. Experience: (2002 - 2007) Freelance Journalist and photographer for: "La Sicilia", "I love Sicilia". (2007 - 2008) Photographer and writer for: "E-mobil press" and "Mercedes-Benz Italia". Joint effort with the composer Angelo Sturiale. (2009 - 2010) Freelance photojournalist. Teacher of photography at Terni´s public library BCT. (2010 - 2011) Joint effort with the journalist and writer Giuseppe Ciulla for the book "Ai confini dell'impero" (Jaca Book). Reportage in Lampedusa and regular contribution with Migranti Press, a monthly publication on human mobility. One-man exhibitions in Milan, Terni and Lampedusa.
