client: Infoprive service ltd(IT security consultancy firm) CONCEPT:MINIMLAISM THE IDEA IS JUST TO CREATE A SIMPLE LAYOUT THAT WOULD CO-OPERATION AND SPEED IN WORKPLACE. THE FLOORPLAN IS OPEN AND THE WORKING AREA IS JUST A SINGLE THAT ALLOWS INTERACTION AMONGST EMPLOYERS, THE RELAXATION IS MADE TO ALLOW FOR INFORMAL MEETINGS AS WELL AS COOL-OFF, AFTER WORKING FOR LONG HOURS. NEUTRAL TONE OF GREY IS USED FOR THE WALL,WHILE MOTIVATIONAL QUOTES ARE FRAMED UP THE WALL TO ENCOURAGE EMPLOYERS WHILE WORKING. 6
PHOTOGRAPHER’S CUBE
CONCEPT: SOPHISTICATED CHIC THIS 64 SQUARE METER APARTMENT IS DESIGNED FOR A PHOTOGRAPHER WHO WORKS FROM HOME. HER HOME IS DIVIDED INTO FOUR ROOMS, THE OPEN KITCHEN/ LIVING ROOM, THE HOME OFFICE IS WHERE SHE ATTENDS TO CLIENTS HER BEDROOM, WHICH IS SEPERATED FROM HER DARK ROOM BY A LONG CORRIDOR THAT DISPLAYS HER WORKS. THE TRIAD COLOUR SCHEME IS USED, RED( RESENE ENVY), GREEN, GOLD, WITH WHITE SERVING AS THE BACKDROP. 7

CONCEPT : MODERN INDUSTRIAL The concept for this project was inspired ITS LOCATION AS WELL AS THE PROFESSION OF THE CLIENTS. CLIMATE CHANGE RESEACHER AND OCEAN PHYSICIST. THE FLOORPLAN OPEN AND CONSIST OF A JOINT LIVING ROOM & KITCHEN,STUDY,2 BATHROOMS,MASTER AND VISITORS ROOM , YOGA ROOM AND A UTILITY ROOM. GREY CEMENT WALLS ARE USED THROUGHOUT THE HOUSE TO CREATE A SERENE AND TRANQUIL ENVIROMENT OF THE OCEAN WHILE ADDING THE INDUSTRIAL FEEL TO IT. THIS IS ALSO CORROBORATED BY A GREEN WALL THAT RUNS FROM FLOOR TO THE CEILING OF THE HOUSE PURIFYING, CALMING AND BEAUTIFYING THE ENVIRONMNET AT THE SAME TIME.FEW ACCENT COLOURS OF BLUE RED AND YELLOW ARE ADDED TO BRING LIFE TO THE HOUSE. 9

CONCEPT:STREET STYLE The client for this project is an headphone company that wants to test how their new brand of headphones will fair in the market .the street style concept was chosen to highlight the companys’s slogan of “freedom of expression ”. THE STORE TRIES TO CAPTURE THE BEAUTY C THE STREETS,USING COMMMON MATERIALS SUCH AS BRICKS, CONCRETE, WOOD. STREET ARTS ARE ALSO DISPLAYED ON THE WALLS OF THE STORE AND THE HEADPHONES ARE ARRANGED AS WAVE LIKE PATTERN IN DISPENSELIKE SHELVES,TO ALLOW CUSTOMER PARTICIPATION BY CHANGING THE PATTERN WITH EACH PURCHASE.cked at the close of the store and will be fea11

ZARIA HOTEL
The task is to design a 21st century hOtel that reflects any city in the world. the ancient city of zaria was picked. pieces from the history and culture are incoporated into the design, the floorplan depicts the typical hausa COMPOUND THAT COMPRISES OF SEVERAL HUTS, WITH THE HUSBANDS’AND PROBABLY THE KITCHEN BEING THE BIGGEST AND LOCATED AT THE CENTER. THE ENTRANCE ALSO MIMICS THE ANCIENT ZARIA WALL.OTHER Elements in the hausa culture such as adobe wall,paraets mosaic patterns, leather are incoporatedin the design. THE LOBBY IS MADE TO LOOK MORE TRADITIONAL WITH THE PLAN DESIGNED IN A FLUID MANNER. 13
