“The birth of evil” Kiev, Ukraine. A series of works «The birth of evil» was created with the idea of «simulation of «dwelling unit» image which is transformed by war. The ruins of buildings, complete fall of the sacred are appearing one after another and lead to new crossbred forms, new structure of existence. Over 24 frames the image appears. The number 24 is related with atomic number étal Cr (lat. Chromium). Chrome as one of the main components of the steel industry bears the destructive power quietly ruining human existence. Growing from the ruins the chrome dome symbolizes the birth of internal decay and evil beauty».

“Modeling Reality” St.Petersbourg, Russia. The period from 1914 to 1918 marks a blank page in the creative biographies of many great artists of that period, as they traded their brushes for rifles and fought across Europe. A hundred years later, history has completed an almost mystical circle. The new generation finds itself back at the starting point of political tensions. In 2014, artists are yet to be drafted into the military, but none of us can escape the information war. The anti-war agenda is one of the most important issues we face today. After all, there is no ‘Undo’ button for events so casually set in motion by politicians in their expensively appointed offices.

“Exploitation of the imaginary” Moscow, Russia. In postindustrial societies, exploitation through consuming fantasies is an axiom of social being. In the light of latest developments we can see how the metastasis of the post-bipolar political imaginary are grown into the media network, an effective instrument of control in the era of consuming and producing images. Exploitation of the Imaginary, the project proposed by the Visual Culture Research Centre in Kiev, focuses on our speculative future, and the ‘imaginary’ of the masses in the world where it can be technically reproduced, where the main tension lies between the virtualized post-politics and utopian practice.

“On Air” Nantes, France. In Nantes, every summer, the city gets animated by exhibitions, installations and art in public spaces. The public place located on the top of the school is a one of the remarkable place choosen by Le Voyage à Nantes. The client’s demand was to creat a living place on the rooftop, in order to make people discover this rather unknown location. After the ideas competition, the outdoor cinema project was selected and we worked to achieve this proposition. This is a complete project that integrates different elements : - an illuminated sign facing the city - a stucture receveing the cinema screen - different furnitures modules to watch the movies - a complexe sound a light system - 75h of movies during the summer We distributed the work between 20 persons, and I mostly worked on the structure, on the technical specifics, on the mecanics of the screen, on the relation with the suppliers and client and on the general organisation of the work for the group. 3D model, construction in wood and steel. http://www.onair-surletoit.fr/
