THE DANA POINT TURKEY TROT RETURNS THIS THANKSGIVING FOR ITS 47TH YEAR, WITH OVER 11,000 RUNNERS EXPECTED TO JOIN IN ON ORANGE COUNTY’S FAVORITE THANKSGIVING TRADITION! THIS FAMILY-FRIENDLY RACE INVITES PARTICIPANTS OF ALL AGES TO ENJOY A FLAT, SCENIC COURSE THROUGH DANA POINT HARBOR.
The event includes a 10K, two 5K races, and the Kids’ 1-mile Gobble Wobble, making it the perfect way for families to start their holiday together. The first 5K race begins at 8:30 a.m., followed by the second at 9:30 a.m. Proceeds from the race will support the Ocean Institute and
Soroptimist International of Capistrano Bay, giving back to our coastal community.
Families can enjoy even more fun at the costume contest at 9:15 a.m. at the Start Line—keep an eye out for our mascot, Drumstick, who’s always up for a family photo #DPTurkeyTrot!
This year’s Health & Fitness Expo features both local and national vendors with products and services focused on wellness.
Expo hours are November 27, from noon to 6 p.m., and Thanksgiving morning from 6–11 a.m.
A Hygiene and Supply Drive will also be held, with donations
benefiting Soroptimist International of Capistrano Bay. Donations can be dropped off at the Expo.
Online registration remains open until the race sells out. For more details on registration and packet pick-up, visit TurkeyTrot.com or stop by our registration tents on race day.
Complimentary parking and shuttle service are available from Dana Hills High School and Costco on Doheny Park Rd (new this year!). On-site parking around Dana Point Harbor is limited, so we recommend arriving 60–90 minutes before your race starts to catch the shuttle and make it to the Starting Line.
