your trip, these pictures will recreate a particular ambiance or memory for you. Every time something strikes your fancy, pull out your camera and photograph it. Finding the right subject is essential to the photograph. It doesn’t matter how skilled you are, or how great your equipment is, you need a great subject to photograph. Carefully choose objects that inspire you, or find a model who will pose for you. A characteristic of many good picture is that the subject is somewhat off-center in the shot. Perfect Composition is not necessarily the most interesting or artistic photographic technique. Off-centering your photos makes them more interesting to those viewing them. Pre-focus your camera and move slightly. Your subject will not be in the exact center of your picture. Most people expect the subject to be in the center of the frame; varying it up a bit can add visual interest. An off-centered shot is likely to appear more interesting in the eyes of the viewer. Try to hold steady when taking shots, it’ll prevent you from producing blurry photos. Even a hair’s-breadth movement can destroy that perfect shot. For the perfect shot, you must take time and focus your energy on getting the perfect view and angle before pressing the shutter button. It is important to find the perfect combination between ISO, aperture and shutter speed. Your photo’s Exposure is dictated by these three settings, taken together. Over- or underexposed pictures should be steered away from, unless this is the particular look you are seeking. Try different things and find out which combination of these three features works best for you. If you are looking to improve your photography skills, you should begin by investigating the art of proper composition. Bad composition can turn an otherwise-great shot into something that doesn’t seem quite right. Try studying and applying the rules of composition to all your photos to get better at photography. Consider purchasing a film camera if you enjoy the sentimental feeling that old photographs provide. Black and white ISO 200 film will take beautiful photos with an old time charm. You can have your photography printed on several types of paper to see which makes the most dramatic impact. If you set your digital camera to the lowest setting, you will be able to fit more images on your memory card, though you will also be sacrificing the quality of the pictures. Lower settings should only be used when you are one hundred percent confident that the images you are capturing will never see printing on paper. Photography is truly a form of art, and you should try to practice simplicity in your shots. A photo does not need to be overly cluttered. There is lots of beauty in the simplest of art forms, so make your shots simple! In most situations, you need to make a choice between setting your exposure to favor the highlights of a picture or its shadows. However, with new digital technology you can take two

photos of the same subject, each with different exposures, and stitch them together into a perfectly exposed photo.
