Feel up to a challenge? Check out the video – there is a quick 4 question quiz… How do you think you will do? On Target Photo Training.com/Photo Tips Choose what you want to have in your photograph. A good photo is like a little window into specific characteristics of your subject. Do not try to show too much. If you want to give a more general impression of something, take a series of pictures, rather than a single photograph with no real focus or details. Practice using manual adjustments to the white balance in your photographs. While taking shots indoors, sometimes you get a yellowish color due to the Light bulbs. Instead of trying to play with the light in your space, adjust the feature called white balance instead. You will see your photos come out much more professionally. Try to create an impression of depth in your landscape photos. An object in the foreground of your shot can create the illusion of depth by providing scale. Choosing an Aperture that is small — no larger than f/8 on a consumer level Digital Camera or f/16 on an SLR using a full-frame sensor — will keep everything from the background to the foreground sharp. Here’s a great photography tip! You need to experiment with Shutter speeds. There are different settings on a camera. These include M, A, P and S. The “P” on the camera represents program

mode. This is the fully automatic setting of your camera, and it sets the aperture and shutter speed automatically for you. If you are unsure of what you’ll be taking a picture of, use P.

Memory Card If you are starting off on your travels, take your first shots as soon as you depart. Once you get where you’re going, there will be ample photographic opportunities, but the trip itself can provide some unique shots. For example, an airport offers countless opportunities for pictures of interesting subjects. Take a lot of photos when you are trying to improve your skills, but buy a memory card with a large storage space. You can use you memory card to store photographs that you have not had time to develop yet. If you have a good memory card, you can also shoot with RAW format. Above all else, photography is an art form meant to be enjoyed. Photography will help you remember a certain time or event that was important and that you may want to share with others. If you are having a good time while snapping photographs, you will continue to want to learn and grow in the field. Consider taking photographs of the souvenirs bought on your trip. Photograph the souvenir on the shelf in the store, or get a shot of it with the sales clerk. After returning home, your pictures and your souvenirs together will help tell a more memorable, engaging story. When you finally find that perfect moment to snap a shot, make sure not to move at all when you press the shutter. Even hold your breath, if you have to. The slightest motion can wreak havoc on your Image. If you have to, give yourself a few seconds to get in a comfortable spot and stand still. Get as close as you can to your subject. Subjects lacking in color or details are one of the worst things you can see in a photograph. Make sure that the subject of your photographs get the attention they deserve. If you like the look of old photographs, pick up a vintage camera. These will give your pictures an old-fashioned look and a historical vibe. They can be found in pawn shops and second hand stores. For an added effect, make use of black and white film that has an ISO 200 rating; it will work quite well for most shots. When getting your film developed, look into having your photographs printed on fiber-based, or other types of photo paper that are available. Understanding the intend and purpose of photography can be a challenge. However, once they start to learn some basic, effective techniques, they find that photography can become an enjoyable pastime. If you use the tips in the article, you should be able to start taking excellent photographs in no time at all. Prior to shooting a large event, warm up your skills by catching glimpses of small details. A makeup bag or bouquet of flowers often make a dramatic, romantic statement, and make for an
