Tips For Digital Photo Printing Tips For Digital Photo Printing Digital photo – Printing Pictures from a digital Camera has become very popular recently as the technology of both digital cameras and laser printers have improved enough where even amateur photographers can get great looking prints. Digital cameras have made taking pictures much easier as the updated technology minimizes the chances of a blurred or out of focus picture. Before you would have to wait until a photo was processed to know if it came out right but with digital cameras you can tell within seconds if you’ll need to re-take the shot. Still, even with a top-of-the-line digital camera and a high quality laser printer there are areas you need to pay close attention to so as to avoid poor quality photo prints. One tip for getting prints from a digital camera is to always shoot at the highest pixel resolution. The more pixels you have the easier it is to print an 8 x 10 or other size photo print. If the pixel count is too low you won’t be able to get a clear Image when you try to enlarge the picture because not enough pixels are present to create a sharp and vivid picture. Inkjet printers work great with digital cameras and usually require roughly 200 pixels per inch to reproduce a high quality photo print. If you are planning on taking shots that will later be used to make 8×10 prints count on having between 1600 and 2000 pixels to allow sufficient room to capture the entire image clearly. For best results consider that an inkjet printer works best at 300 pixels per inch and higher so for a really great 8×10 photo print try sending pictures that measure between 2400 and 3000 pixels.

On Target Photo Training.com/Photo Tips Another tip for getting better results when you print digital photos is to use high quality printing paper. High quality photo paper, such as archival quality paper is best since the paper is a higher grade stock and is made to last much longer than regular plain paper. Yes such paper does cost a bit more but it is well worth it if you plan on sharing the photos or framing for a keepsake gift. If you are using special paper be sure to adjust the settings on your printer so it knows to make changes designed to optimize the output onto a higher grade paper. Most printers are set to a default that is for cheap, plain paper and if you do not change the settings the printer will assume the paper is standard and won’t compensate for the higher quality. Another simple trick to making digital photo prints look even better is to add a decorative edge

or border to the image. You can choose from basic templates or even design your own to custom match the photograph and with a stylish edge or border you can make an ordinary photo look extraordinary. -By: Kevin McLaughlin Kevin McLaughlin is a professional writer with over 20 years experience in traditional and online publishing, editing, copy writing and marketing.
