The most obvious advantage of digital writings, has to be the simplicity and commodity of it. The fact you can carry your £30 Chinese tablet with thousands of books, articles, magazines and comic books is quite honesty astonishing. Another great asset is the lightweight side of it, all those numbers I just mentioned in your backpack, a couple of touches in your screen and all of a sudden you’re switching between a spider man comic and the Bible or even the Dune series by Frank Herbert.

Now if you analyze its counterpart, those ink filled monstrosities, they’re heavy, smelly, especially if they’re old, expensive, especially if they’re old, which is ridiculous if you think about it, an outdated object in bad condition and with poor typographic layouts is more expensive than a clean and updated version. Space wise you need a library in your house if you want to consume the world’s knowledge, or go to an actual library which is not convenient is it? You have to get dressed, go outside, walk! Are you joking? Walk for a book?

So to conclude, we have digital, that is inexpensive, light, can fit thousands of books in your pocket and in any language or have a library in your house that will cost as much as a sports car, plus you’ll not be able to carry all of that around can you? Now if you still think printed bound books are better than digital books you must be as as outdated as the books you love.
