dematerialization concept An eroded rocky terrain has been presented. The sea along with the wind finally dissolve the stone. The water has gained ground among the rocks, opening slowly a crack, removing material under a process of thousand years. The invitation is to live meditation according to this behavior that the ground presents. There’s a relationship between this process and the act of meditation, seen as an abstraction of the mind that involves release of the material world in time. We arrive from the city with the overload of the daily routine, and as we get closer to the sea, we experience a gradual material dispossesion, leaving behind those everyday’s activities to merge with the environment, going away with the sea. daniela feliu__workshop portfolio__architecture

Meditation Center space sinks into the rock. A progressive opening from the access, via a staircase that extends along the center (forming the backbone of the project) until the space to meditate, the highest-ranking according to their size. In this route water makes its presence from first step in first level until the auction at the place of meditation, a slab that "floats" above the water down there. Thus, the water travels through the project as well as the sea is gaining ground in the rock, eroding and creating space. At the top is a thread-level floor that grows and falls into a waterfall garden, located 10 mt below, following a path up the space in which users meditate, decanted in a “seemingly floating pool� of low depth.

2.0 architecture The project is divided into zones. On the higher level there are parking and access, the stairs leads to the entrance level, 5mt below, which stands the area of services: hall, office, wine cellar, kitchen and dining area, public restrooms, laundry and dorms for staff who work there, with its private bathroom and a small indoor garden for exclusive use. Following the stairs, one floor below is the first area for users, with bedrooms and their own private restrooms included. At this level is also an outdoor terrace that corresponds to the tile roof of the lower level. Going down the next floor we have the second bedroom area of users, and finally in the last level is the big meditation space, double-heighted ground without seeming, whose floating platform is connected to the interior waterfall garden, which runs from dorms out here.
