Main Objective: At the end of the lesson the students will be able to identify, apply and discriminate food vocabulary related to healthy and unhealthy habits of eating. Moreover, they will be able to give opinions and discuss about food habits.

Subsidiary objectives (regarding OA or OAT): The students will be able to respect their opinions. They will be able to work in groups. The students will be tolerant and respectful with their classmates. Target Language: (Linguistic CONTENTS: form, meaning, pronunciation)

Assumed Knowledge:

Healthy and unhealthy food vocabulary. Communication. Giving opinions.

Present Simple. Wh questions. Descriptive sentences ( it has, it is, etc.). Likes and dislikes. Some food vocabulary.

At the end of this stage, the students will be able to give opinions about food habits. They will also be aware of the differences between healthy and junk food.

The students will watch a short video about the eating habits of a boy. After that, they will discuss some questions about eating habits and also give opinions about the differences between junk food and healthy food.

At the end of this stage, the students will be able to difference both types of food and their vocabulary. They will also give opinions about what they think

1st part: The teacher will hand in to the students some flashcards relates to food, they will have to classify them by sticking them on the board in order to see if they belong to junk food group or healthy food group. Each flashcard has their name on it, in order the students get and remember the vocabulary easily.

Assessment

15 The teacher minutes will guide the class by showing the video and then asking the questions. She will be monitoring and encouraging the students in order to get the aim.

The teacher will give the instructions clearly in order to guide the activity properly.

2nd part: The teacher will give the students a sheet of paper in order to do a poster. The students have to create it using one of two options given by the teacher, either preventing junk food or promoting healthy food. At the end of the stage, they will have to present their posters, show them and give their arguments.
