Talking about myself has always been uncomfortable for me, it is the images that are here that do it I was born in Caseros in 1966; three years later I arrived with my family in Mar del Plata, where I still live My name is Daniel Battiston and I take pictures I disbelieve the idea that all photography is a fiction or a lie. The world enclosed in the rectangle of the image is a universe by itself, as real as the everyday objects that populate our hours The photographer is a simple observer who rearranges the world of events in a more meaningful way There are no lies or falsehoods in a photograph In them lives a reality more intense than the television news, the hours lost in the small routine acts, the drowsiness of the almanacs
