The definition of the strategic proposal

The following scheme represents the methodology used to define the strategic
proposal for the Valley of Livo. The proposed model underlines the role of the diffused hospitality as the necessary tool to valorize the landscape and re-activate local and collective economies. For this reason the strategy is structured into a series of goals related to the environmental, landscape, social and economic dimensions of the project. In this scenario the touristic dimension of the diffused hospitality doesn’t work as an independent element but it’s integrated into the physical, social, economic and cultural elements, giving shape to five landscapes.
These five landscapes represent the
strategic and spatial forms through which the diffused hospitality works in synergy with the peculiarities and the specific features of
the territory: in every single landscape the diffused hospitality emerges through a specific
element that shapes actions, interventions and policies, naming each strategy. In this way the definition of multiple strategies answers
to the necessity to intervene on a transversal territory that appears extremely articulated and complex: it’s a territory that needs to define different thematics, that in this way
assume the name of landscapes. For every landscape it is possibile to lead back an abacus of actions, interventions and goals. The first one (actions) are usually defined as
valorization, regeneration, transformations, cultural variation and strengthen: they are shaped according to the spaces on which they act. Interventions punctually and specifically represent the characterization
and the use that the considered spaces take through the project. Finally the abacus of polices supports the first two (actions and
interventions) and it defines the important role
of social and collective mechanisms of the strategic proposal. The definition of the five landscapes is also
related to the capacity to give shape to local resilient economies. Resilient means that they are not feasible only through the touristic supply of the diffused hospitality, but also thanks to the presence of complementary and autonomous activities and practices. These are able to guarantee the creation of an agricultural production chain strictly related to the tradition, to the cultural local identity and the community of the territory.
