01 Target group description - Focus on minimalism.
For this assignment I have focused on &tradition, which is a very modern and minimal furniture and interior design brand. Therefore, the target group for this assignment are someone the minimalist’s. _____ People who’s striving for minimalism is typically young people. They’re primarily in between 18 - 45 years old. Normally the target group appreciates a good piece of design, whether it’s about fashion, furniture or interior. Often, when furniture and interior design is something they like, they also tend to have a passion for archictecture. This target group often likes to go to museums, furniture fairs and a vernissage of art. In their home it’s often natural materials, fabrics and colours. The colours they use are often primary colours, which is based on earth colours like brown, beige or black, white and grey. What characterises this target group is that they strive for the ‘‘ less is more ‘‘ motto. Also in their home and sense of style in general.

When we visited the trend studio, we had a look at several trend books. The main trends we discovered was: They use main colours like black, grey, white, beige and earth colours. For the secondary colours they mainly uses brown, green and dark red, where the thirds colours would be warm red and dark brown. The main trends right now is check, earth colours, red, layers, tote bags, wool, weekend bags, shirt jackets and chunky sneakers.
