One of the things that make us unique from other people is our personality. Like a fingerprint, it leaves a mark in the minds and hearts of the people we meet every day. The stronger your personality the more noticeable and memorable you become. Since personalities differ from one person to another, this means that your personality may not appear as pleasing to some. This article is here to help you identify your pleasing personality and to teach you how to improve it to make you a better individual.

Find what is pleasing about you. When you look among the crowd or talk amongst other people, it’s very easy to spot what is pleasing and likeable about a certain person. One glance and a few minutes of conversation and you’ll be able to tell if that person is pretty, friendly, nice and easy to talk with. Why don’t you apply the same thing about yourself? Find out what is admirable and pleasing about you, then keep those in mind and identify yourself with it.

Love yourself. We all know that you cannot make everyone like or love you and it is not healthy to even try. But what you can do is to accept who you are and love yourself. When you love yourself you are also giving room for your personality to grow and you will not be afraid to show it to other people.

Accept your flaws. You have a unique personality, and that means you are not perfect and have flaws just like everyone. And some people make the mistake of hiding their flaws and try to hide it to appear like perfectionists. This will do more harm than good. As human beings, we should learn to accept the good with the bad, and that means learning to accept your flaws as part of your personality.

Be with more people. This can be considered as one of the most effective ways in improving your personality. By being exposed to other people you will be able to see how your personality differs from others. It will help you identify your good traits such as confidence and optimism that will help you improve and bad traits that you will have to lessen or get rid of. Also, don’t forget to choose your company wisely. Be with people who will build you up, not fill you with self-doubt.

Explore uncharted territories. Don’t be afraid to try something new. Go on an adventure, travel, fall in love or do something that you have been scared of doing. Engaging yourself in exciting and memorable experiences can help bring out who you really are and what is best in you. This will also help you understand who you really are and what makes you unique.

Like health, your personality can be improved as well. You have to identify your strengths and improve it, find your weaknesses so you can turn them into strengths. Keep in mind that self-improvement is a constant process and requires dedication. “Always be yourself, express yourself, have faith in yourself, do not go out and look for a successful personality and duplicate it.” ~Bruce Lee
