[Restauro a Roma] Restoration in Rome cartografía, levantamiento, bibliografía, hipótesis. cartography, survey, bibliography, hypothesis.

The Santa Passera Church is of Paleo-Christian type, with its origin in the 5th century AD, on the remains of a Roman mausoleum where two Giro and Giovanni martyrs were buried. The development of this work has been carried out following the method of restoration of Professor Giovanni Carbonara, with a first phase of urban study through the surveys of planes, where wetlands, fissures or construction details are studied. Then the building is graphically understood from the history, with the analysis of the wall, the construction phases, and the geometrical schemes. Once the graphic study has been carried out, everything is synthesized with a “ricerca storica”, where the bibliography of all the hypotheses including ours is reflected in writing. To finally propose a project that can have graphic or written aspects at any scale.

Fase I - II d.C

Subsequently a series of enlargements are made, the apse and the sides of it that are subsequently closed.

Fase II- II-III d.C

The roman church in the ninth century opens its lateral gaps and creates an apse that later in the twelfth century is closed

On the ground floor we can see how in the 9th century a new piece was created to house the activities of the church, and in the 12th century the arched spaces were closed.
