The project was within the Business and Engineering & Computer Science department. As a freshman, we had a group of investigation, try to find out the problem in the public space between business students and computer engineering students. This merging of ideas is represented in a contemporary responsive design created a sustainable, cool and protected micro climate for users and a dynamic kaleidoscope of planting and patterned paving on the ground and viewed from the surrounding towers.

GREENY WOODY PARTICIPATIVE DESIGN WORKSHOP College of Business plaza design

05

By making exiting model and information board, we could communicate with students easily and figuring out the problem of using the plaza, we even fond a website to give our idea to them, trying to make more connection with the user,

07

BEFORE

The existing plaza is just a platform, there is no connection of nature and less people use.

08 AFTER

conbine with wood platform and greenway, to achieve the wholeness landform.

DESIGN DETAIL

Shortcut entrance space according to the survey line add square, on both sides with wooden platform and the scaffolding to create a pocket for space, improve their dilapidated small garden.

The entrance areas to the site are planted with low hedges, ground cover and grasses to ensure maximum views into the plaza and to create a formal entry. The low-maintenance grasses sway in the breeze and provides seasonal interest.

The Zhih Jeh River was commissioned to transform the centre of surrounding neighbor by developing the public realm for the new Southwater One district, a vibrant and identifiable community, leisure and retail destination. The importance of the future for this area is needed, and it has to be emphasized the need to create a new city able to offer commercial, culture, tourism and leisure.

Finding sustainable and environmentally compatible energy technologies that go beyond fossil carbon sources is a challenge for current and future generations. Many researchers believe that biofuels appear to be the alternative liquid fuel of choice, although in a world of seven billion people it is clear that biofuels production must not compete with food production. There areserious questions about how to achieve this, given the quantities of biofuel that will be required and that proposed biofuels crops are either food crops (e.g., corn, soy, and sunflower) or compete with food crops for water, fertilizer, and land (e.g., jatropha, canola, and palm). Microalgae include species that are good oil producers (as shown in Figure 1) and may be the best source of biofuels if they can be cultivated using wastewater as the source of water and fertilizer, but what about land?

ALGAE PLANT TILA Student Landscape Architecture Design Competition Solutions: what landscape design can solve

ALGAE? Algae photosynthesis pigment, according to the size of the divided into kelp and micro algae.Micro algae is 1 ~ 10 microns single-celled algae, biomass is very big and wide distribution. At present on earth by micro algae fixed carbon dioxide, accounts for over 40% of the total fixed amount.

CRISIS

18

After the industrial revolution, a large number of factories have sprung up.Through the production after the honeymoon, environment brought by the sequela is becoming more and more serious. Small harbor industrial zone is located in kaohsiung with sinosteel, medium oil, chose high pollution factory, it is the most serious severe pollution area in Taiwan.

Want to turn over the area of environment quality, cannot only rely on traditional beautification project, must establish the industrial self purification mechanism, inversion of pollution sources for the green nutrient, make negative output positive input, a blue sky back to kaohsiung. New green algae factory small harbor industrial zone of 49% waste gas with 100% wastewater, at the same time Create as much as 149% of the value added!!!!!

CONCEPT Chose power plant resources of micro algae developed two forms of green algae farming - closed and open.Use pollutants as a nutrient, purification of pollutants through photosynthesis and the production of green energy.

DESIGN STRATEGY 1. The algae breeding fast, production is much higher than terrestrial plants. 2. The algae live nutrients needed can be obtained from the environmental pollutants. 3. After the algae absorb pollutants can also produce oxygen flow, energy flow. 1 algae cycle

SYSTEM SECTION Natural Sustainability. Organic Innovations. Food for the Future.

MAIN BOARD Grow Energy's technology is centered on the concept of using biological processes to address humanity's resource needs of power and water. Verde enables biomass to be grown and combusted to create energy, while Hydral yields electricity and purified water through hydrogen fuel cells, both operating with absolutely no carbon emissions. Algae biotechnology is an exciting, emerging field of research. Grow's bioreactor and light utilization products make it easy for researchers and organizations to test concepts in the areas of biofuel, bioconcentration, and even space habitat design. Our components are available to order direct through GrowTech, or contact us for custom solutions for your business. At our core, Grow Energy's technology is the most efficient in producing algal biomass in quantity and concentration. Biomass has many applications including energy production, animal feed, and various industrial manufacturing elements. Algal biomass can even be important for human health, such as Chlorella microalgae which is sold in many popular health food stores.
