About This Album Most of you know I’ve spent my adult life, or at least the time I was supposed to act like an adult, in the photographic industry. And, while my passion is the business and marketing side of photography, I don’t make my living as a photographer. However, I know more than I let on and I’ll match my passion for the craft against anybody. Almost five years ago I was introduced to LUMIX via Tom Curley at a meeting with the LUMIX Ambassadors in Chicago. Shortly after that, I was shooting my first LUMIX camera, a GH3. That camera lit a creative fire under me that’s never slowed down! Panasonic’s slogan is “Changing Photography,” but for me, that’s so understated. The changes in technology with each new camera has taken me down an incredibly creative path as an artist. From wildlife, landscapes, to the world of macro, street photography and 4K video, the world of imaging I previously thought I knew so well just keeps growing. Today, I’m rarely without a camera, and the results have been remarkable. Now, more than ever before, my mind’s eye visions are becoming a reality, and it’s pure joy seeing the quality of each image. This book is about creativity, quality and the mind’s eye visions of twenty-five different artists, each with a different specialty and view of the world. Each one is a LUMIX Ambassador with a unique skill set and point of observation. But, I wanted to take it one step further. We’re a tactile industry, and great images deserve an outstanding presentation and the ability to touch each photograph. Marathon’s Bella Art Albums became the perfect vehicle to share dozens of beautiful images from one of the most diverse groups of artists in the industry, the LUMIX Ambassadors. Photography is so much more than just capturing images. It’s about the magic each of you is capable of sharing as you help clients stop time and create a tangible memory, destined to be cherished forever. “This is what I like about photographs. They’re proof that once, even if just for a heartbeat, everything was perfect.” - Jodi Picoult I’m honored to have written the introduction to this new album, but even more, honored to be working with the LUMIX team! In the almost 200 year history of photography, artists have never had a more significant collection of creative tools at their fingertips, and so many of them are thanks to LUMIX. Panasonic isn’t just changing photography; they’re changing lives.
