Components for plumbing systems Check valves
Components for plumbing systems Check valves are anti-pollution devices preventing backflow. This phenomenon can be caused by pressure variations due to water leakages in the mains pipes, simultaneous water consumption by several users, or pressure increase in user circuit. In these cases, pressure may get higher in the user pipes than in the mains’, thus causing backflow. A check valve, correctly placed between the mains supply and the user line, prevents backflow occurrencies by eliminating the risks of direct contact between the two lines and of possible public water contamination.
Safety valves
Safety valves are devices to control overpressures: when threshold value is reached, the valve discharges the fluid so to avoid dangerous operating conditions. Suitable to be installed in heating plants (3 bar set pressure) or sanitary systems (7 bar set pressure), IVAR valves are available with different connection threads and with or without manometer connection. Versions with 1/2’’ M or F connections and 3 bar setting are NF-certified.

Current laws on the installation of accumuluation water heaters for domestic use require that a hydraulic safety unit is installed, in compliance to European standard EN 1487 on water heater design and construction.
The thermostatic mixer keeps the water temperature constant in spite of pressure/temperature changes at the inlets. Its employment is of utmost importance in hot sanitary water distribution systems, where you must prevent boiler water at too high temperature from reaching system terminals – such as sinks and showers. Moreover, the mixer features a thermostatic element with anti-scalding function, which rapidly cuts off the outflow in case of lack of cold water supply. The use of a thermostatic mixer allows to: ✓ produce high temperature water in the accumulation water heater so to reduce storage volumes ✓ reduce thermal dispersions caused by the distribution of high temperature water ✓ rely upon anti-scalding assurance
The brand new unit Secur 3 combines the benefits of a safety group and an anti-scalding thermostatic mixer in a single component. This makes the installation of the safety devices required by law easy and quick. Secur 3 group complies with EN 1487, and it is ACS and NF certified for both the functions. Equipped with premounted dielectrical fitting, it is available with fixed-setting (50 °C) or adjustable (36-50 °C) thermostatic mixer, with or without incorporated kit for the connection to the boiler.

The safety group is used in hydro-sanitary systems to perform important tasks such as: ✓ preventing water pressure from achieving excessive values within accumulation water heaters
safety valve
✓ preventing water from flowing back through the cold water line (antipollution function)
check valve
✓ making maintenance operations on heaters easier without the need for draining the whole system
cut-off valve
✓ allowing the accumulation water heater drainage
manual discharge valve
