After years of gaining popularity and developing new stores, the founder of Ann Taylor, Richard Liebeskind, decided to create a more affordable and on-trend brand called Loft in 1998. Though it is not a long-standing brand, Loft has been revamped in the past years. They developed their website, www. loft.com. Also, they are known for the development and extension of their petite sizes. The brand now spans over 46 states with over 650 stores. They also have 8 stores in Canada and 1 in Mexico.
The Customer What is very appealing to customers about Loft is their ability to target all ages of women. For example, not only does the brand target young women in college, but they also target women who may be retired. Loft focuses on stylish clothing that works for many different ages and generations. Loft carries pieces that are on trend and stylish for the season, but they also carry pieces that are classic and can be worn all year-round.
