Declarations of Faith According to Psalm 91 Greetings! We are still in the midst of a pandemic. How are you holding up? I know for some it has been a challenge having to stay at home and even having to wear masks and gloves when having to go out. How we go through tough times is based on our perspective. With that being said, let me give you the perspective that although things are not the way we would want them to be at the moment, we are still around to experience the moment. Let's stay encouraged and connected as we go through these turbulent times. PSALM 91: I DECLARE I will dwell in the shelter of the Most High God. I DECLARE I will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I DECLARE that God is my Refuge and my Fortress. I DECLARE that you are my God (Hallelujah) in whom I trust and with great confidence and whom I will rely. I DECLARE that God will rescue me from every trap and protect me from every disease. I DECLARE I am covered and protected by His outstretched arms. I DECLARE that God's faithful promises are my armor and my protection. I DECLARE I will not be afraid of the terrors of the night nor of the arrows that fly in the day. I DECLARE I will not dread any disease that stalks in the darkness nor any disaster that strikes at midday. I DECLARE that because God is my Refuge and the Almighty the God of my home no evil can befall me and no plague can come near my dwelling. I DECLARE that God has ordered His angels to guard, defend and protect me and my house. I DECLARE that God's armies of Heaven will keep me from falling. I will walk unharmed and kick anything that's evil from my path. I DECLARE that because of God's love for me, I'll call on Him. He'll set me above all my troubles. He will deliver me from all my fears and He will honor me with His presence and power. I DECLARE He will reward me with long life and He will show me His Salvation. **The above declarations are an excerpt of the message, 'Confessions and Bringing Order to Your Life', from Dr. Creflo Dollar, Jr., Founder and Senior Pastor of World Changers Church International (WCCI) in College Park, Georgia** N.A.I. Editor's Note
Be Courageous !
Well folks, we made it! We survived 2020. It is 2021, a new year, a new era, a new government administration. As we leave behind 2020, undoubtedly the most unusual, unprecedented, and crazy year most of us have ever lived through. We experienced and are still experiencing a pandemic, civil unrest, millions on unemployment, families on the brink of eviction, increase in teen suicides and increase in domestic violence. I experienced some of the above issues, but what was revealed most in 2020 were the issues of my heart. How I felt about and reacted to the different things that were happening in my life and in the world. If you were anything like me, 2020 also gave us the opportunity to see who we really are as a nation, a country, a people. It showed us areas where we needed to level-up. Where we were weak. Areas in our lives that have been neglected. In other words, 2020 left us with our mouths hanging open and gaping wounds of reality that rose to the surface. It had become clear that we could not leave our lives, our future, in the hands of others or outside forces. The time has come to address those neglected and forgotten areas. Areas we need to level-up in and to do better. Below are a few areas where I know I need to level-up in and maybe you do too: Mental Health: Leveling up in this area may mean intentional self-reflecting and evaluation. Making time for yourself is paramount to your overall wellbeing. Exercise: Without a doubt, 2020 put a crimp in our exercise routine. Level-up by thinking outside the box and find new ways to exercise and stay fit. Check out these resources -YMCA-DC Virtual Wellness Center, ElderGym Free Exercises For Seniors And The Elderly, JOHNERCISE (eBook). It’s better than doing nothing. N.A.I. MAGAZINE - PAGE 8
Be Courageous !
Relationships: 2020 had us cooped up for extended periods of time. We found out how we really felt about each other. In this case, leveling up may mean being truthful and facing those topics that you have been avoiding in your relationships. Do you need to say, “I’m sorry”? Do you need to forgive someone? Do you need to say, I love you? Finances: If nothing else, 2020 showed us that we need a plan for our finances. Leveling up may mean opening a savings account and creating an emergency fund. Need help with your finances, check out this resource – Born to Multiply by LaShawne Holland. (appears in N.A.I. Magazine, pages 8-9).
Business: Leveling up in your business may mean being more responsive to potential clients, answering e-mails in a prompt manner, or doing a better job of following up with your current clients. Marriage: Level-up the passion. Learn to love again. Valentine’s Day is coming up. Check out page ___ for some Valentine ideas. If you need assistance in this area, check out this resource – Marriage Built 2 Last, (appears in N.A.I. Magazine, pages 13-15) Socially: Level-up by diversifying your circle of friends and associations. It is our uniqueness that brings us together. After all, everyone likes good food good clean fun and good company. Spiritually: Leveling up could mean spending more quiet time with God. It could also mean altering your life to fit the Word of God instead of altering the Word of God to fit your life. The changes, upgrades, improvements we need to make will not happen overnight. It will take time so be patient with yourself. What is important is that we start moving forward. No more status quo. Good is not good enough when better is available. Let us be intentional about how we live our lives.

YOU ARE VALUED FAR ABOVE RUBIES
SHE LOVE GEMS Meaning: She Loves the value and the quality, not only of the jewelry but of every person that she encounters or has yet to meet. N.A.I.: How did the idea for your business come about? SLG: I became very fond of the $5 jewelry when showed by a dear friend of mine, Lawanda Armstrong (click on video link at end of article). She shared with me that the jewelry was nickel and lead-free as well as affordable. Due to my having a high sensitivity towards nickel- I said I would try out the jewelry that she featured in her business. From that day forward I was hooked. I enjoyed being her BEST customer and then she shared with me the opportunity in which I could start my own brand. And that’s exactly what I did in October of 2017, $5 fashionable jewelry for women and men. Also, check out my exclusive Zi Collection necklace sets and starlet shimmer for little girls. There’s a little something for everyone for sure. N.A.I.: What motivates you to do your business? SLG: Seeing the happiness and joy in those who wear the jewelry, especially during the 2020 pandemic. Many of my customers and customers to come shared with me that they were thankful for me showing up and giving them compliments and suggestions on ways to wear their jewelry. They have deemed me the Jewelry Coach! N.A.I. Magazine - Page 17
N.A.I.: What 2 major challenges have you come up against in running your business and how did you overcome them? SLG: Well, I choose to make this more personal as it relates to challenges that I have been faced with while running my business. The 1st major challenge was when I was diagnosed with a rare disease- Idiopathic Hypersomnia in 2017, “Excessive Daytime Sleepiness. This resulted in immediate evaluations and being on medical leave and eventually loss of my full-time job. The 2nd major challenge was when my husband had a stroke in 2020. Amid both of those challenges, it was SheLoveGems that brought forth not only additional income, but the love from my business partners, encouraging hands, and prayer warrior sisterhood that helped me to overcome those challenges and a part of the pathway to healing has begun by way of the Gems. N.A.I.: Who/What has been your greatest inspiration and why? SLG: My grandmother, Elizabeth Beckwith, who passed away in 2016 and my mother Phyllis J. Winston, who are huge lovers of jewelry. My mom is my best customer. If my grandmother were still alive, she would beat my mom in her purchasing activities. I really enjoy the reaction that comes from others when they are adorned with jewelry, whether it be earrings, rings, necklaces, or bracelets. And now that I have jewelry for men, I get to be a part of that very reaction that my husband and sons give to me when I order new pieces of jewelry for them as well. N.A.I.: What is the most satisfying aspect of your business? SLG: The most satisfying aspect of my business is the fact that my sons and husband help me to manage the business. We thoroughly enjoy the family times and togetherness that it brings, from the unpacking and organizing of the jewelry to the virtual showcasing of the jewelry, and not to mention being able to mail out the orders.
N.A.I. Magazine - Page 18
Each customer’s order gets its own custom packaging and handwritten greeting card which makes our consumers feel more like family. We enjoy being able to make people look and feel beautiful. I am thankful that I get to share this opportunity with others every day that God grants me breath. And let us not forget about being able to exclusively purchase items that we love to Rock as well.

Dreams, Goals, Legacy My name is Vinson A. Hill, and I am a representative of Primerica Financial Services. I would describe myself as a Self - Motivated, Team Player, and Adaptable. I learned through playing sports how working together to accomplish a goal has individual components.

One of the concepts that inspired me was "educating families to ensure they are Properly Protected with Life Insurance and Financially Secure." I wanted to share this information with my family, friends, and other families so they will be informed as I have been and ensure they were "Properly Protected with Life Insurance and Financially Secure." For example, you must be Self Motivated to learn and develop your skills in whatever you do in life so you will be knowledgeable, confident, and dependable in the areas you are serving. As a Team Player, you may have to assist someone who may not have the same skill set as you to obtain goals set by your team. Furthermore, we must be adaptable and willing to fill in where needed to obtain the goal. It is your willingness, efforts, and skills that you bring that makes a difference in obtaining your goals. Ervin "Magic" Johnson has been one of my favorite athletes as well as business owners. His determination to leave a Financial Legacy for his family and setting an example for "ALL" minorities to have the desire to become business owners and obtain wealth that can be passed on to generations is inspirational. As an athlete he broke the stereotype of athletes not investing their money wisely after retirement. This example inspired me to investigate the type of business, legacy, and how I could g ive back to the community. I would like to encourageyou to write down your vision, dreams, and goals so you can see them daily. Once you write them down do the research and develop a plan to obtain them. Continue to be consistent in achieving your goals and dreams. N.A.I. Magazine - Page 23
