In the News - Post & Courier, September 27, 2014 Charleston agency takes part in luxury real estate conference

Local agency Daniel Ravenel Sotheby’s International Realty brought Lowcountry expertise to a global conference while networking with agents worldwide. The Realtor firm took part in the 2014 Sotheby’s International Realty Global Networking Event. According to Daniel Ravenel Sotheby’s, the show brought together 1,500 people from 31 countries and territories worldwide. The three-day event Sept. 8-10 at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach in Florida permits hundreds of agents worldwide to chat up and “share best practices with their colleagues from all over the world,” according to the agency. “The global networking event provides a great value to our firm,” says Dan Ravenel, owner and broker-in-charge. “It offered the opportunity to network with some of the world’s most talented real estate professionals, generate valuable referral business and learn more about the industry and the Sotheby’s International Realty brand’s vision for the future,” he says. “Together, our brand is making statements globally, and this conference is proof that we are the voice of luxury real estate worldwide,” Ravenel says. The Daniel Ravenel agency offers “exclusive” Sotheby’s International Realty marketing, advertising and referral services, it says. The services are “designed to attract well-qualified buyers to the firm’s property listings.” Also, the firm and clients benefit from a tie-in with Sotheby’s auction house, which promotes real estate referrals with its clientele. Furthermore, the Charleston affiliate can refer its real estate customers to Sotheby’s auction house for “jewelry, art, unique furniture and collectible appraisal services.” Property listings from Daniel Ravenel Sotheby’s International Realty are pitched on the sothebysrealty.com global website and the local DanielRavenelSIR.com connection. The brand also provides specialized “lifestyle” websites featuring farm and ranch, historic, waterfront and golf properties at FarmandRanchSIR.com, HistoricPropertySIR.com, WaterfrontPropertySIR.com and GolfPropertySIR.com. “Our annual Global Networking Event brings together members from all over the world with the common goal of sharing their experiences and market insights,” says Philip White, president and chief executive of Sotheby’s International Realty Affiliates LLC. “This year’s conference provided our record number of attendees with an overview of the brand’s strategic vision for next year and beyond, from our marketing efforts to our global expansion and record-breaking sales,” he says. The Sotheby’s International Realty network claims 15,000 independent sales associates in 720 offices worldwide. All independently owned and operated, the real estate centers are in 52 countries and territories. Founded more than 30 years ago, Daniel Ravenel Sotheby’s International Realty has closed more than $1.5 billion in real estate sales during that time. The agency, which joined Sotheby’s International Realty in 2007, says it “has taken its local market expertise and expanded into the international arena.” Daniel Ravenel SIR says it has forged “a close partnership with the Sotheby’s Auction House and a powerful referral network worldwide.” The agency, headquartered at 33 Broad St., can be reached at www.DanielRavenelSIR.com. Indigo Park is the Vision of Candace Dyal, president of Dyal Compass LLC, whose mission is to invest in and develop real estate products that focus on conservation and a healthier environment. Candace has teamed up with Christopher Rose Architects and Royal Indigo Construction to fulfill what she calls "a concept that's important to everyone on the team; to build with a conscience." With this aspirational vision met, Indigo Park would be the first community in a luxury resort of entirely LEED Certified homes.

NuCedar exterior shingles need no painting or staining. Hurricane-resistant windows and doors, along with Energy Star appliances, mean less maintenance and more savings on utilities. Integrated geothermal systems are not only quiet and environmentally friendly, but also contribute to the energy efficiency of these homes. In addition, every garage is equipped with a 220-watt outlet to charge an electric car.The goal of these amenities? Let homeowners enjoy a beautiful home without time-consuming maintenance and costly overhead.

One of the best locations on Kiawah, Indigo Park is only steps away from Rhett’s Bluff boat landing, The River Course golf course, and all the associated amenities including the River Course Club House and the Sasanqua Spa. This is the perfect location to bike to the rest of the island's amenities as well! New homeowners in Indigo Park will have the option to purchase an exclusive Kiawah Island Club membership at any level - Golf, Sports, or Social.

Located on one of Charleston’s most highly coveted streets South of Broad, the ‘’White-Williman House’’ was built around 1840 by James White, who originally purchased this lot from Robert Trail Chisolm in 1838. The original home had two grand, masonry square porticos which were severely damaged and later removed, shortly after the earthquake of 1886. Later, Italianate style alterations were made by both the Williman and Frost families. This handsome, approximately 6400 square foot home, provides plenty of charm and space that you immediately notice once you enter a long, light filled entrance hallway. Buyers looking for a historical home with a premiere Charleston location, and an option to customize a home to their specific taste, this is great prospect that you do not want to miss!
