Located on one of Charleston’s most highly coveted streets South of Broad, the “White-Williman House” was built around 1840 by James White, who originally purchased this lot from Robert Trail Chisolm in 1838.The original home had two grand, masonry square porticos which were severely damaged and later removed, shortly after the earthquake of 1886. Later, Italianate style alterations were made by both the Williman and Frost families. This handsome, approximately 8000 square foot home, provides plenty of charm and space that you immediately notice once you enter a long, light filled entrance hallway. A European style, eat-in kitchen sits directly behind the dining room and it provides a stainless steel, gas powered cooking appliance, wine cooler and a porcelain butcher’s sink. The master bedroom is located on the 2nd floor and has French doors that lead to a relaxing veranda that overlooks the garden.

Quintessential townhouse living! Centrally located in Harleston Place, this three bedroom, three bathroom home is a sun filled end unit with multiple exposures and peaks of the harbor, and an extremely functional floor plan for its size. The current owner has made many upgrades; in 2012 all new hardwood floors were installed on the second floor, travertine tile floors were put in all three bathrooms, French doors to the garden and a large window were installed in the sizable two car garage, and a pressure booster water pump was put in for strong water flow throughout the house. In 2013 two new HVAC units were installed; a gas line was piped in from Beaufain Street for one of the only gas stoves in Harleston Place plus a cozy gas fireplace in the living room. A top of the line Jenn-Air double door refrigerator completed the kitchen with custom granite counters.

Handsome, beautifully maintained brick 4-bedroom home with top-of-the-line finishes and woodwork. The views, large screened porch, patio, and in-ground pool make you feel like you’re in the country rather than 10 minutes from downtown. The pool entry is through a handsomely gated stucco fence. This private lot is enhanced and buffered from the neighbors by carefully planted, spanish moss-filled trees. The master bedroom is on the main floor. The kitchen, with center island and double ovens, opens onto the breakfast room eating area and then to the family room, all with beautiful views of the lake. Family room fireplace has gas logs, but can be converted to wood-burning. Living room fireplace is for gas logs. One bedroom, with multiple closets, has a closet so large that it is being used as a sewing room; it would make a very nice office also.
