BEFORE AND AFTER MILAN FASHION WEEK FEBRUARY 2020

Milan Fashion Week is known for its semi-annual clothing trade show that takes place in the metropolitan city Milan, Northern Italy. Both events, one held in February and the other one in September, attract international visitors. I wanted to know why so many people from all over the globe are so enthusiastic about this event and travelled to Milan just to see the shows and enjoy the parties for 5 days.

On the final day of my stay I had my very last espresso in the busy pedestrian zone, enjoyed the Italian flair and was touched by feeling the city`s beat in the air. While I was walking through the city dragging my suitcase behind, I didn`t think that after this trip my life and the citizens` lives would change dramatically by the spread of COVID-19. Nobody knows if there will be another Milan Fashion Week. Some countries with falling infection rates are slowly easing lockdown restrictions. However, the question remains if we can get back to life and business as usual until 2021.
