I worked hard on everyproject, of which I had to developed key skills. I like starting by first sketching out my ideas and concept. Then,I will attend wood and metal workshop to test my ideas with the prototype. Dueing the process, I might discover flaws and rooms for improvement . there are flaws, which I will ajust accordinly. I like to search for different materials for designing, such as, Splint, blue dye, poly and so on. This makes my design even unique and out standing.

The Intergrattion of all splints necessary for a stroke patient to recover after a stroke.

What is Splint A splint is a material used for support or immobilization of a limb or the spine. It can be used in multiple situations, including temporary immobilization of potentially broken bones or damaged joints and support for joints during any activity.

Concept Splint care was designed to help stroke patients. During the recovering period, patients might experience contracture, hypermyotonia or dislocation. Rehabilitation after stroke aims to preserve or improve range of motions, muscle strength and functional abilities. However, only doctors who had received training to apply splints have the ability to assist patients. Also, patients need to get the required devices from multiple sources. With the invention of Splint Care that put all splints necessary for a patient to recover into one box, patients can apply the splints on their own with clear instructions provided.

Crystal Crystal is an iron designed to be a user-friendly appliance. While using Crystal, one can easily detect the water level changes inside the tank. As such, one can stop in time to add water before the tank goes empty.

Concept Very often, users forget to check the water level in the tank, which could cause damages to the clothes if the users continue the ironing with empty tank.

Features The water level can be seen easily without interrupting the ironing. This can lower the risks of damaging the clothes The user interface is simple and easy to operate

18 / Product Design / Decor

DÉCOR The design of DÉCOR was inspired by the 1920’s Art Deco style. Given DÉCOR’s unique design feature, it can be a perfect fit in a high end clothing store.

What is Art Deco Patterns could be spotted everywhere in 1920’ America. Art Deco was deeply affected by Industrial Revolution. People started to love simplified design rather than traditional splendid patterns such as Victoria age style. Simple stripes and fan-shaped geometrical pattern was all the rage at the time.

DĂŠcor Concept I chose the most widely used material in the modern furniture industry, wood as the foundation of my design, along with the Lofty Pterocarpus indicus. I then put a plain glass on top of it.

Manufacturing process Made from black iron. Before I painted the metal part silver, I did the surface repair and polish it to prevent it from rusting. I designed and manufactured all parts separately so that it can be easily transported and to put together.

Group Project-High End Clothing Store I worked with other 4 teammates to come up with the design ideas, the overall style, and layout. Altogether, we designed an Art Deco style high end clothing store. In addition to furniture and scenario design, we also design product catalog
