Ilse Ghekiere
#Metoo, Herstory in Dance — On Activism, Solidarity and Precision Ilse Ghekiere dances, researches and writes. She studied dance at the Conservatory of Antwerp and has a MA in art history from The Free University of Brussels. As a dancer she has worked with, among others, Michèle Anne De Mey, Mette Ingvartsen, Jan Martens, Pavle Heidler and Stina Nyberg. In 2016 she reoriented her practice to focus on the relationship between literature, body politics and gender history, and the position of the artist as activist. She lives and works in Oslo and Brussels.
