Chocolate bunnies, shiny jelly beans, sugared gumdrops, chick-shaped marshmallows, and candy-coated eggs in a rainbow of pastel shades. What do all of these things have in common? They’re usually found in kids’ Easter baskets, of course!
We all remember these traditional treats. While any child would be happy to receive a basket of faux grass filled with pounds of sugary treats, parents might not be so sweet on the idea. Not to mention there are some youngsters who can’t enjoy candy due to a dairy, nut, soy or other allergy. Maybe this year, the Easter Bunny could fill the basket with something other than candy (hint, hint). Even swapping out half the candy for other things would be beneficial. Here are our best ideas for pintsized, non-candy Easter basket goodies. “Hoppy” Easter!
