3. Getting started 3.1 Connection Connect to TV Depending on the jacks on your TV, select the connection mode. We suggest you to use HDMI output (High Definition, up to 1080p). Picture quality will be improved compared to using the composite video output (Standard Definition, use A/V OUT jack). If you are using HDMI Output mode, (1) Connect one end of an HDMI cable to your TV. (2) Connect the other end of the cable to the HDMI port on the back of the box. And if are using AV Output mode, (AV output is not available on A31 TV box) (1) Connect one end of an AV cable to the TV’s A/V IN port. (2) Connect the other end of the AV cable to the box’s A/V OUT jack;
3.2 Power on/offďźŒStandby Power on Step 1: Turn on your TV and select the input Make sure the input setting you’re selected on your TV matches the input you connected the cables to your TV. Step 2: Connect the power adapter Use the power adapter to connect the box to the power outlet. The box boot automatically, the power indicator turn blue, then the boot logo appears, after 40 seconds you will get the home screen on TV.
Home Screen Standby Press Power button on the remote control, system will enter into standby mode and power
indicator turn off. Press again to wake up soon. When you leave for a while or some hours, just standby your box, the power consumption is very low. Power off Press the Power button of the box, the shutting down window appears. You can cutdown the power after the power indicator turn off. When you won’t use the box for a long time, please power off the box first and then cutdown the power.
Note: It’s not allowed to plug out the power adapter or cutdown the power directly during working or in standby mode. You need press the power button of box to power off your box first.
3.2 Home Screen Features on Home Screen System upgrade
Here you can upgrade your system form USB or internet.

3.3 Joining a network
Joining a wired network Connect your box to a router with a network cable. Go to Settings > Wireless & Networks > More, select Ethernet, join your network. Joining a Wi-Fi network

To join a Wi-Fi network that isn’t shown in the available network list, go to Settings > Wi-Fi, Click ‘Add network’, then enter the network name, security type and password.
Join a static Wi-Fi network
To join a static Wi-Fi network, select the network and enable ‘show advanced options’, choose Static, then enter IP address, gateway, DNS.
When your box is joined to a Wi-Fi network, the Wi-Fi icon in the bottom of the screen shows signal strength. The more bars you see, the stronger the signal. Once you join a Wi-Fi network, your box automatically connects to it whenever the network is in range. If more than one previously used network is in range, it joins the one last used.
3.4 Setting the language The system language of this box can be set to English or other languages. Go to Settings > Language & Input > Language, choose the language you want. The selected language will take effect immediately.
3.5 Setting video output mode & Screen Size Go to settings > Display > Display output mode, choose the output mode and adjust resolution. And also you can press Output Mode button on the remote control to select video output mode. Go to settings > Display > Screen trimming, adjust the video output size according to the size of TV screen.
3.6 Adjusting the Pointer speed When you are using an Air mouse, Go to settings ->Language & input->Pointer speed, adjust the pointer speed as you want.
3.7 Setting Date & Time Go to Settings > System > Date & Time, set the date, time and date format. You can set date & time though internet or by manual. If you choose to use time provided by internet, make sure your box already connect to internet.
4. Main features 4.1 Google Play Google Play is supported by this box. You can install applications from Google Play with a Google account.
4.2 Browser Viewing webpages Go to Browser to start viewing webpage.
Text size: Click the ‘Settings’ button on the upper-right corner of the browser, select Accessibility, then set the text size for webpage.
Browser mode for online video playback Click the ‘Settings’ button on the upper-right corner of the browser, select Debug, then select the browser mode you want. This item is useful for online video playback. Suggest you to choose Android while the webpage is based on flash player, and iPad while the webpage is based on HTML5.
4.3 Remote Control (Google TV Remote) Step 1. Jolin a network. Step 2. Install Google TV Remote on your phone. And connect your phone to the same network with your box. Step 3. Run Google TV Remote on your phone, scan your device, send a control request, then enter the correct code to start controlling. The default device name is MiniMax.
4.4 3D This box can support real 3D movie playback. Except for this box, a 3D TV, a pair of 3D glasses and a High speed HDMI cable are also needed. To enjoy a 3D movie, Step 1. Navigate to the file and press OK button to start movie playback. Step 2. Press the Left button to enable the tool tar. Click the 3D icon, and choose the 3D playback mode.
4.5 FireAir (DLNA DMR) This box can work as a Digital Media Renderer. With it, you can seamless stream multimedia on your large-screen TV. Step 1. Jolin a network > Go to My Apps > Turn on FireAir Receiver. Step 2. Install a digital media controller on your phone or tablet. And connect your phone to the same network with your box. There are several DMC applications are available, iMediaShare, BubbleUpnp,and so on. Step 3. Run iMediaShare > Select the media stored on your phone or other Upnp server even media from internet > select a digital media renderer, and then you can watch the media on your TV. The default device name is MiniMax. Except the media stored on your phone, you also can select media form internet, like Picasa,Facebook,Youtube.

4.6 AirPlay This box can work as an AirPlay device. With it, you can use your iPhone/iPod/iPad to
seamless stream multimedia on your large-screen TV. Your iphone and your box should be in the same network. The default device name is MiniMax.
4.7 Miracast This box can work as a Miracast receiver. You can deliver the whole screen of your phone which can support Miracast sending to your large-screen TV. Step 1. Run Miracast service on your box.
On your box Step 2. Run Miracast sending service of your phone or tablet. Take MI 2S for example, Go to WLAN setting > Press Menu button, choose WiFi Display, connect it to your box from the available list.

4.8 Wi-Fi AP This box can work as a Wi-Fi AP. Go to System Settings > Others > Advanced > More > Portable hotspot, turn on Wi-Fi hotspot.
4.9 System Upgrade Go to System Settings > Others, click update enter into system upgrade .
Online Upgrade: Choose a server to check and download a new version to upgrade your system. Local Upgrade: Prepare the upgrade file “update.zip” in the root directory of your USB drive. Click “Scan” and “Start upgrade” to upgrade your system.
5 Caution This box’s design and manufacture has your safety in mind. In order to safely and effectively use this box, please read the following before usage. 5.1 Usage cautions User should not modify this box. If commercial hard disk is being used, the environmental temperature should be within -5℃ ~ +40℃.
5.2 Power The box’s power voltage: DC 5V. When using this box, please connect the supplied AC adapter to the box’s power jack. When placing the adapter cable, make sure it will not get damaged or be subject to pressure. To reduce the risk of electric shock, unplug the adapter first before cleaning it. Never connect the adapter to the box in a humid or dusty area. Do not replace the adapter or cable’s wire or connector. 5.3 Radio interference/compatibility - If not properly shielded, almost all electronic devices will get radio interference. Under some conditions, your box might get interference. - The design of this box has followed the FCC/CE standard, and has followed the following rules: (1) This box may not cause harmful interference; (2) This box could accept some interference received including interference that may cause undesired operation. 5.4 Repair If the box has a problem, you should take it to an appointed repair center and let the specialists do the repair, never repair the box yourself, you might damage the box or endanger yourself or your data. 5.5 Disposing of the box When you dispose of the box, be sure to dispose it appropriately. Some countries may regulate disposal of electrical device, please consult with your local authority. 5.6 Others When using this box, please do not let the box come into contact with water or other liquid, if water is accidentally spilled on the box, please use a dry cloth to absorb the spillage. Electronic products are vulnerable, when using please avoid shaking or hitting the box, and do not press the buttons too hard.

Where the MAINS plug or an appliance coupler is used as the disconnect device, the
disconnect device shall remain readily operable.
