As is our tradition, in this first issue of the new year we announce our D&D Awards: a collective reflection on the artists, the shows we’ve seen and reviewed across our entire group of journalists and experts, and the cultural phenomena that we at DANZA&DANZA followed closely from January to December 2024.
The cover story is dedicated to Friedemenn Vogel, among the awardees of the year and an artist always ready for new challenges. Then a feature about the relationship between dance and surrealism in the past as well as in the current scene; we review major debuts from Italy and around the world; we meet the lighting designer Fabiana Piccioli and the choreographer Francesco Annarumma.
