Why choose micro-transformation as design concept
Historical image of the site The site is located in the historic Hutong area near White Pagoda Temple (Baitasi, built in 1279AD), one of 33 conservation districts of history and culture in Peking’s historic city area. Single story courtyard houses (Siheyuan) and narrow alleys (Hutong) form the historic urban structure which is well preserved.

At present, most theaters are exaggerated in appearance, single in function, and far away from the public and can not be truly integrated into city life, which forms a great waste of public resources. ROOF GARDEN The Night of Colin Colin is a college student. He likes to make friends and often holds parties in the roof garden with his friends.It's a nice roof garden with a view of the city, and whenever Colin was in a bad mood, he would come here for a break.
THEATER
Robert's Evening Robert is a CEO working in the CBD in central Guangzhou. He usually goes to the gym in the afternoon and comes to the theater with his wife in the evening for a performance. Robert prefers musicals, especially Andrew Lloyd Webber's 《cats》.

Why choose reachability as the starting point of design ？
Site Location
The site, in Guangzhou, China, was used for horse racing in the 1990s, but it was abandoned as the sport faded from view. The 15-minute living circle implemented in Guangzhou can be equipped with the basic service functions and public activity space in 15 minutes, which is very convenient for citizens to travel and live. In order to better realize the 15-minute Life Circle, I put forward the concept of improving accessibility in combination with the venue. The improvement of accessibility will greatly meet people’s requirements for quick and convenient travel, this is also very much in line with the requirements of

the 15 minute cycle.

THE LANDSCAPE OF THE ENTIRE SITE According to the general trend of the plot, the whole site takes the avenue as the main axis, opens the landscape corridor to connect the public green space, and shapes the organic urban open space system. The core of public space is set in the key areas of the plot to form a three-dimensional public system. In the core of public space and lined with a number of public landscape plaza, parks, etc. , to form a good urban landscape and cultural leisure places.

Section
The three-dimensional transportation system will connect the main buildings of the whole plot in series, which will become fast, convenient and highly accessible. People in different buildings can reach different places through the system.The building height of the whole plot rises gradually from south to north, enriching the city skyline of Guangzhou. The function also gradually changes in this direction.

Xuzixiang portfolio According to the wool algorithm, the whole site generates a three-dimensional traffic system, which includes not only the three-dimensional traffic, but also the core and the urban open space. People can get to any place they want through a three-dimensional transportation system, and the accessibility is much improved compared to the previous urban model. People can walk through office buildings, commercial streets, stadiums, parks and so on easily and freely. The three-dimensional transportation system also realizes the separation of people and vehicles, and the transportation system is more reasonable and orderly.
