Experiences with Impact

Welcome to Africa Amini Original Maasai Lodge. We built on land that was considered uninhabitable by local people - but the country changed when the lodge took its place. Today, the area is filled with life and emotions, and radiates a strong healing energy.

Located in Northern Tanzania a 1.5hr drive from Kilimanjaro International Airport, our lodge is in the heart of the land the Maasai call home, perched perfectly between Mt Kilimanjaro and Mt Meru.

16 earthen houses built in traditional style replicate a Maasai village. Each is powered by solar energy and offers all the conveniences for a comfortable stay: hot showers, flush toilets, original décor and a veranda with a view where morning coffee is served to start your day.

Immerse in Maasai culture with spear throwing, guided nature walks, sunset dancing, and campfire storytelling. Relax in our swimming pool and sauna and enjoy a restorative massage. Our food is a freshly prepared fusion of local and international cuisine, designed to nourish and delight. Your stay supports Africa Amini offer that will entice you to explore what’s on our doorstep:
