Set on the slopes of a small hill overlooking the panoramic scenery and the sweeping savannah grasslands lies one of the most desired of the luxurious camps beyond one’s wildest imagination. The jewel of Manyara as it is called, the Manyara Wildlife Safari Camp operates all the year round offering 26 individual camps and double story cottages made in ethnic concepts offering rich colours and culture of African heritage wrapped in captivating modern comfort.”

The name “Manyara” comes from the Maasai word “emanyara” which is a euphorbia species of plant grown in a particular area. The park is surrounded by razor sharp ridges, deep boulderstrewn ravine, arid land, the big lake and jungle that spread over an area of 330 sq.km. The grounds are home to a diverse range of wildlife including, lions, elephants, hippo, giraffe, etc. with more than 400 species of birds including the largest flock of Lesser Flamingos.

Manyara Wildlife Safari Camp at Losirwa was acquired by the well-known Merani Hospitality Group in July 2011. The entire camp has since been expanded and fully renovated to the highest possible standards on ethnic concept.

ACCOMODATION Manyara Wildlife Safari Camp accommodations are in ethnic concepts offering rich colours and culture of African

heritage wrapped in captivating modern comfort. The interior wall partitions separate the bathroom, which offers both hot and cold showers, and the bedroom area with either a kingsized bed or multiple twin-sized beds flanked by side tables with lamps. The furniture is traditional and obtrusive, imitating the traveling camps of old.

THE CAMP OFFERS: • Honeymoon Tent/Suite: In ethnic settings with two private viewing decks to both the lake shore and the Manyara escarpment. Impressively configured for two persons with luxury furnishings. • VIP Suites: A huge VIP grass roofed tastefully decorated and furnished circular cottage set within the lush gardens offering spacious bedroom

dining and sitting rooms with additional twin rooms and a large balcony. • Standard T ents & Cottages: Rooms are designed in both the cottages and tents with a beautiful view either to the Manyara escarpment or the lake shore and are set according to your requirements. • Double Tents & Cottages: For two persons sleeping on one bed or alternatively configured as two separate beds placed side by side. • Triple T ents & Cottages: For three persons on three separate beds placed side by side or alternatively configured as one double bed and an extra bed on the side • Quad rooms: For a family of four persons (two adults and two children under the age of 12) on one double

bed and an extra bunk bed on the side. • Superior Family Room: A standard cottage room specially for a family of four persons on one double bed and two separate beds in their own rooms.

THE “ESERIAS” RESTAURANT: AN EXCITING CULINARY JOURNEY The main big hall in ethnic setting offers a stunning “Eserias” Restaurant of enhanced by immensely beautiful ethnic chairs, lamps and décor with low canopies overlooking the camps

SERVICES: ENDLESS OPTIONS FOR RELAXING OR HAVING FUN Whether you are traveling with your partner, friends, or family at Manyara Wildlife Camp, you will find different spaces to relax in after a day of safari. Comfortable facilities that are available for guests are “Swimming Pool” situated right in front of the dining area with clear view of the national park. Refreshing dips are perfect for

cooling off after a day spent in the heat of the jungle. The “HAKUNA MATATA BAR” stocks a wide range of spirits, wines, and cocktails. In the evenings, guests can opt to unwind at a big lounge with luxury furniture as they watch television on the top floor of the dining area which offers sweeping views into the park as well as Lake Manyara. Other facilities offered at the property include a “TOUR DESK” and “GIFT SHOP”. “BICYCLE RENTALS” are available at a charge. The safari camp also features a wide range of wildlife and indigenous plants.

Maasai Dancing: The camp often arranges Maasai dancers to entertain and to dance after luxurious dining. Camp fire: lit every evening that offers a welcome location for drinks after a grueling safari. Walking Safari: Walk under the songs of 165 species of colorful birds along the beautiful rocky hills of Manyara accompanied at times by wild animals on the way. Night Game Drives: Explore the animals in their natural habitat with armed tourist rangers. Picnic In The Bush: Enjoy the peace, quiet and privacy of the bush all around you as you indulge in a selection of starters, sandwiches, complete grill station, desserts and much more. Romantic Dinner: Partake in a unique dinner for two under the stars at our lookout point, with an exquisite menu prepared by our chef, according to your preferences. Cultural Tours: Located not far from the entrance to Lake Manyara National Park, Mto Wa Mbu is a local farming and market village that is perfectly situated for souvenir shopping or for a glimpse into the daily life of the Tanzanian people.

GETTING THERE Arusha is the main gateway for guests visiting Manyara Wildlife Safari Camp. Mto Wa Mbu is approximately 100km a 90-minute drive from the camp. The Arusha Airport is eight kilometers from the City Centre Arusha and situated on Dodoma Road (A 104). There are scheduled and charter flights (Auric Air, Coastal Aviation, Flight Link and many others) to Arusha operating within Tanzania. Manyara Airport is only 30 minutes’ drive from the camp and only operates charter flights. Charter services can be arranged with advance notice.
