Set in a shaded grove, this fairly large lodge and tented camp combo offers affordable comfort a stone’s throw from the impressive Tarangire National Park. Its simple layout and comfortable furniture create a welcoming warmth that is echoed by its friendly staff. The lodge décor possesses a truly African feel and a homely atmosphere. From the elegant wooden central platform where the Lake Burunge Tented Lodge restaurant stands it’s possible to watch the lakeshore waiting for the animals that come to drink there.
Because the camp is strategically located in the natural corridor between Manyara and Tarangire, the spectacle of the migration it’s guaranteed. The camp is located 10 minutes from the entrance to the park known as Sangaiwe.
Lake Burunge Tented Camp consists of 30 rooms which includes 20 tents and 10 bungalows rooms, located in a shady bushland grove – all with spectacular views of Lake Burunge.
The lodge has a main building raised on a wood and concrete platform, with extraordinary views to the Tarangire National Park and to Lake Burunge, that includes an area to relax with comfortable sofas, outside and inside dining and a swimming pool. Every evening a camp fire is lit and guests can enjoy the sunset with drinks and appetisers. Weather permitting dinner will be served outside under the stars.
This camp is the perfect place to relax in comfort after a day of game drives in Tarangire, simply carried away by the breeze and the colours of the African sunset from your private terrace.

The activity length varies from one hour to one hour and a half. · Visit to ethnic groups: In
Tanzania live a great diversity of tribes and ethnic groups of great interest. Tribes such as Hadzabe, Datoga, Masai,
Wairak and other tribes can be visited from Tanganyika properties. The activity consists in visiting the local ethnic group to learn about their traditions and way of living. · Private Sundowner: In a beautiful landscape, enjoy an appetiser and cocktail at the end of the day.
