MARAFIKI MUSIC FESTIVAL 2021

The organisers are very excited to announce a classical live music festival “Marafiki Music festival” that will take place on 7th -10th Oct 2021 at Nafasi Art Space and Alliance Francaise. Marafiki Music Festival gives opportunities to young and emerging bands and artists to showcase their work. This edition will have a special and exclusive female band performance called “Bahati Female Band”, the only girls’ band performing well in the east African region. 1ST EAC REGIONAL TOURISM EXPO 2021

EAC Regional Tourism Expo 2021 will be held in the northern tourist circuit of Arusha from 9th – 16th October at TGT Ground. EARTE 2021, which is the first of its kind to be held in the region, is aimed at promoting tourism attractions available in Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi and South Sudan. The first three days were dedicated for exhibition and four days to conduct familiarization trips and tours to major attraction sites Mainland and Zanzibar. The expo will be held on a rotational basis among the EAC member states, with this year’s theme titled, ‘promoting resilient tourism for inclusive socio-economic development’. The strategy focuses on the establishment of the tourism exposition as a forum bringing state and non-state tourism actors to showcase the rich and diverse tourism attractions and investment opportunities in the region. Moreover, the event is also a platform for business to business (B2B) engagements and dialogue aimed at the recovery of the tourism and wildlife sectors, taking them to the next level for sustainable development. SERENGETI SAFARI MARATHON 2021

An annual Sport Tourism event that brings together professional, amateur and fun runners under one roof is well designed to meet important goals from Sustainable Community and Tourism Development, Innovative Tourism Products (Sports Tourism), Conservation Sustainability and Tourism Fair. This year the event will take place on 8th - 13th November 2021 at Ndabaka Gate, Serengeti from 7am. The run will be a Full Marathon -42km, Half Marathon-21km, Executive Run- 10km and Fun Run- 5km. This event will allow participants to not just witness the migration animal but be part of it by running between the groups of migrating wild animals along the Serengeti National Park. Participants will include both local and foreign, however; Apart from the marathon, the event will consist of various activities such as Football Competition, Track Race and Traditional Dances & Sports.
