MY VALUES With an open mind, I love to challenge difficult things and eager to learn everything. Therefore, I confidently can adapt any environment to improve myself. To me, "Good Design" blends into users' lifes seamlessly. It is thoughtful but not nosy. When you need it, it is easily to find and use. When you don't use it, it just stay there besutifully but doesn't disturb you. "Good Design" doesn't ask to be mentioned. It might be invisible, but is very useful.

Boost Communication between Family Members
CO-HO is a floor lamp that can boost deeper communication between family members. Connecting with MOONY APP, if here are any requests from family members, CO-HO will remind you to make response with its special manner. I hope to close the gap of different concepts and ideas between family members with this positive and harmony way.

ISSUE The gap between parents and children is a long-term problem. During the research, we found the two cycle about communication of them. If they are in the good one, the connection between parents and children will grow fonder. However, if they have a bad communication, the relationship will gradually worsen. How can we make them avoid the vicious cycle, and become virtuous cycle? How can we build a better communication between them?

If a request is sent from the CO-HO APP, one of the COHO lamp would bend down and the light will turn on. Only after the requested member responses on the APP, and then both members show their palms under the light together for induction, will the light turn off and return to it’s original location. This setting is to make sure that both members understand and accept each other’s ideas and concept. CO-HO is designed to resolve the problem of the communication gap between family.

PO-HO is a night lamp designed to leaves a message to family members who come late home, writing words on the hand and project it on the wall. PO-HO is a night lamp to illuminate and give warm to the family as well.

ISSUE Kids cannot interact with their parents who always come home late is common in modern family. When their parents come home, they have alreadt gone to bed. However, when the kids are young, it is the most critical period for all capacity development. All they need are their parents' companionship. So if their cannot come home early, what can we do to promote them much more interaction?

PO-HO’s users write on their hands. When the person who come late home open the door, PO-HO will turn on and the message will be show on the wall. And if He/She also leave a message in it, other members of the family can see in the morning, by shaking their hands under the low side.

LEE is a smart brewing machine that allows homemakers to easily brewing their own taste of wine and vinegar without having to worry about the source of these seasonings. Also, there are many interesting steps for users to personally participate in the brewing process. Make them enjoy the joy of hand-making and the goodness of waiting.

ISSUE Nowadays, more and more people pay attention to their health and start trying to buy ingredients for themselves. However, with good ingredients, they find that they cannot know whether the source of seasonings or drinks is healthy.
RESEARCH After studying the way to make , becuase ferment vinegar is difficult and it needs many techniques to control the process, it was decided to use vinegar as a starting point of my design.
PROBLEM The problem to ferment our own vinegar 1. Modern vinegar technology has strict time control, but it is difficult to manipulate when we ferment our own vinegar. 2. Most people's methods are mixing fruit and vinegar instead of directly fermenting from the fruit.

OPTICAL ILLUSION What if pattern transform into 3D visual?

RESEARCH To the project, I tried to use the pattern from Yen-Ting Cho to make optical illusion, as an attempt to explore relationship between 2D pattern and 3D visual effect. At last, I put the pattern on the bag to see how usage affects the curve of the pattern.
First step: I crop partial of the pattern.
Second step: I copy the curve from last step to form spatial level. At the right picture, I use transparency to make spatial level changeable.

Third step: No.1 curve covers no.2 curve, no.2 curve covers no.3 curve, and no.3 curve covers no.1 curve. Thus, it forms an interesting space just like infinite loop.
43 Optical Illusion.
MIX WITH STREET CULTURE I tried to let soft and gentle curves transform into a more characteristic and distinguishing form. I referred to graffiti in order to find the kind of curves.
The left picture just like third step to make infinite loop. The right picture retain the borders of curves to make sequence of perspectivities.
I crop the curve as tape and it seems like top view or bottom view. The relationship of curves in right picture just like up and down or front and behind.

TURNING POINT
After I tried to crop it as tape, I thought that how if I tried to print the pattern and crop it in reality. Surprisely, the result was pretty great that the shape of curve became natural and changeable. It is dramatically different at every perspective. Also, the reflection of the light creates interesting spatial level. When I put the pattern on the bag to see how usage affects the curve of the pattern, I found that usage caused fault to make spatial level changeable. Also, what the relationship was leaved imaginary space to the viewers. Otherwise, the direction and position I put on the bag was really important. It is interesting that considered which part of pattern need to be affected by usage. At last, I thought that the prototype at the bottom of right page was my favorite.

The most challenging and exciting action ever.
ACTING THE WHOLE TIME When we chose "escape" to interpret complex pleasure, we confused with how to present this. We thought that "escape" was hard to express by object. However, how dare we try acting that we vegged out during the whole workshop?
And we did it!
We vegged out all the time and left the workshop early without permission. Also, We even leak information that our team split.
At the beginning of the presenation, we showed our poster which is made casually and even forgot our lines. Suddenly, we started arguing and one of our team member even left. Thus, we said thank you and ended our presentation.

Surprisely,our team member came back and brought our offical poster. We returnned to the stage and showed our topic "escape" to everyone. With everyone's surprised face and applause, we created contrast successfully.
