By Tim Parsons

My name is Tim Parsons, I am the author of the children’s book series paramedic Chris which are based upon calls I have attended with various ambulance crews as part of my work as a voluntary chaplain. The series is aimed at educating children aged between the ages of four and ten years of age about the works of the ambulance service.

Episode one looks at the subject of hoax calls as well as a family being re united.

Episode two is based upon a call to an elderly patient suffering from loneliness and Chris and Holly are able to help the patient re build his life.

Episode three is based upon a visit to a primary school where we see the consequences of bullying.

Although I am based at Medway I have often been on third manning shifts with crews in Dartford and Dartford holds a special place in my heart as I met my wife at an event at Dartford park back in 2005. My Dad was minister of Highfield Road Baptist Church(Dartford) from 2001 to 2009 and sadly passed away in 2019 after a short battle with prostate cancer. Part of my own story has been a battle with both physical and mental health following my Dad’s death and one thing this pandemic has taught me is that we all need to support one another and I am determined to use my experiences to help other people.

The Paramedic Chris series are available from Amazon, Waterstones, WHSmith and many other retailers. As well as being available on paperback and hardcover the series are available from my website at:
