MAKING MIRACLES
Making Miracles is THE baby trauma and family bereavement care charity. Making Miracles was founded in 2014 after Kelly Wells experienced a traumatic, high risk pregnancy and the near loss of her daughters life. Kelly searched for organisations to help her but instead found herself on chat rooms and realising she was not alone in feelings of isolation and grief. The idea of Making Miracles was a result of this and soon after the birth of her daughter Kelly decided things needed to change, so she started the charity so no parent would ever feel as alone as she did. Making Miracles offers a range of services which includes our FREE professional counselling service, the Baby Memorial Garden, published childrens book ‘The Baby’, Keepsake Ted and a collection of support groups. Making Miracles is open to all the family including parents, grandparents and siblings and is the only UK charity providing this to date. RORY STEYN, NELSON MANDELA’S CHIEF OF SECURITY, IS COMING TO ST MICHAEL’S
Nelson Mandela’s former Chief of Security RORY STEYN will be visiting St Michael’s Wilmington to talk about what it was like to protect “Madiba” and share some of what drives him in life, including his Christian faith. This FREE event begins with light buffet refreshments at 7.00pm for a start at 7.30 and should end at 9.00pm. We will be hearing from Rory about his life as a policeman in South Africa and especially what it was like to protect one of the most famous, not to mention respected, people in the world. He will also share something of how his Christian faith has impacted him in his work. This is ticketed but all are welcome to attend.
