Creavery PS going strong almost 200 years on
C
REAVERY Primary School will open its doors to prospective pupils on Thursday, January 8 between 1pm and 4pm.
As one of the oldest schools in the North East Education and Library Board, its good old fashioned values approached with a modern outlook ensure that the school is still going strong. Creavery Primary School, while up to date with the latest curriculum also offers a few unique qualities of its own. The 60 pupil capacity means that headmistress Louise Dunwoody not only knows every pupil by name but personally too. “I could tell you a bit about every child in this school” says Miss Dunwoody.
“Our pastoral care is excellent and we are a very family-orientated school that celebrates and cherishes every child” she adds. Miss Dunwoody says: “Because of the size of the school, all the pupils get to go on individual class trips and then have a whole school trip.” Creavery Primary School, which was cited as “excellent” by a recent inspector, also has a varied range of extra-curricular activities including drama and sports. It also offers a great ICT package and because healthy pupils are happy pupils, Creavery prescribes to a healthy eating code throughout the school. To view the school and its facilities for yourself, you can call in anytime or contact Miss Dunwoody on 9446 6915.
