01 Y-A Concept sneakers / boots. Made for all conditions. A y-3 and Acronym collaboration. The design was made for a 3d modeling competition “fusion of footwear by Pensole and Wacom. I used this proyect to learn the specific program they required for the contest. Everything is 3d modeled and rendered in fusion 360. (the winner has not been anounced)
MOODBOARD / VISUAL STYLE
Moodboard: Concept sneakers / boots. Imagining what could be the result of a collaboration between y-3 and Acronym. It takes all the escence of the 2 brands and mash them together with a clean and urban style. The all condition footwear from acronym + elite design nature of y-3.
The design uses the layering techniques used in all condition urban wear from nike ACU. The design has a middle plastic piece tightining the shoe with a elastic band that goes all the way to the bottom of the shoe.
SKETCH / IDEATION
This middle piece is not only functional, but also creates the keypoint of the design making it look tougher.
The translucent material goes along with the moodboard to achieve that “cold sensation. The square-ring across the logo gives a extra high fashion element to the shoe.
The shoe is made for the urban context. The sole is made of adidas boost technology.

04 TESLA JET -3 Tesla jet R-03 is a new type of racing automobile which achieves high levels of speed and handling. The design mixes the lightness and acceleration of a motorcycle with the bodywork and top speed of a jet airplane. All in a compact 4 wheels vehicle, fully electric powered, and equipped for long races. The driver seats in like in a motorcycle, wrapping his arms and legs around the jet engine. It’s not made to be comfortable, it’s made for the win.
MOODBOARD / VISUAL STYLE
This race car was designed to maintain motorsport relevant in the future. Pushing the boundaries of performance and aesthetics. All about this design is velocity and control. The dirver is merged down with the machine. Visuals comes out of the mecha, allstar racing and tech trends.
The car is jet-engine powered to reach top speeds in the long straights of Circuit de la Sarthe, And is designed to fly around the chicanes with the help of the flaps mounted on the front wheels, this way it has more grip in the wheel that is closer to the apex, pushing the air away and countering the centrifugal forces that generates understeer.
SKETCH / IDEATION
All the components of the car are arranged to be as low as possible making a total height of 70cm. The wideness remains similar as a GT or f1 car but the length is significantly reduced to 2.7m, making it look more like a square, For weight reduction, but also for better handling.
The car is designed to steer at high speeds with the help of wings that counters the centrifugal forces that generates understeer. The front wheel wings function is to have the maximum grip, keeping all the wheels on the ground while cornering:
Wings that turn into an angle lower than 50° generating downforce in that side of the racecar. Wings that push or hold the air to have a greater turning capability. Wings that are inactive during the turn.
*The driver seats in like in a motorcycle, wrapping his arms and legs around the jet engine.
Design published on: behhande Industrial Design Served (Automotive) All the components of the racecar are positioned around the main jet engine. Everything is as low and compact as possible to keep that max height of 70 cm, perfect for downforce and handling.
The racecar has a main dual tesla electric motor. The motor has the same measurements of the actual motor of a tesla model s. The weight of the car is significantly lower than a normal sedan, making it perfect for acceleration. The motors connect to the turbine by a differential axis making a hybrid in between the electric motor and the jet engine.
The car has a jet engine used in small aircrafts. The jet is the biggest and heaviest component, therefore all the other car elements are set up around it. The jet engine is constantly working so it can help the electric motor with acceleration, but its main purpose is to use all its power in the long straights of the racetrack for a high top speed.
The main battery pack are two stationary lithium-ion batteries. They are positioned as low as possible to use their weight and shape to bring the car stability. The batteries energy is used as KERS, just like in f1, but not only for overtaking and for longer periods of time. The car has an active braking system so that the batteries are constantly charged in race time.
Front and rear suspension needs to experience immense amounts of downforce. The suspension is set on extreme hard and it get stiffer as the spring pivots on the axis. Also, since there is no space for an axis in between the wheels, turning is made by a strong piston that pushes the wheel around its own axis. This is great for turning in the high speeds the car achieves.
During the race time, the car is going to need a lot of battery. There is a dedicated spot on the rear part of the car for fast access to battery storage. This allows the pits to change batteries really quick. This way there is no need to have the car stopped while charging, just battery replacement. This permits a more competitive scene where the pits are kept as an important part of the race.
A - Main airflow entrance onto the jet engine. The engine sucks most of the air coming towards the car. B - Secondary airflow entrance for downforce. Also the air going through this space cools the inside part of the driver’s seat that is above the jet combustion chamber. C - Cooling airflow entrance for stationary batteries, differential and electric motor.
A high speed car needs a lot of downforce power. Therefore this is the main priority on the bodywork. All its pieces have their function of downforce. The picture shows a underwing above the front lights, this generates downforce, but it also redirect the air to one of the main cooling vents. (explained ahead).
The electric motor needs large amounts of air for cooling. There is 2 dedicated air inflows for each electric motor. they capture the air and make it cycle around the motor keeping it cool and in performance temperatures. The vents capture 50% of direct air coming ahead of the car and 50% of redirected air from different pieces of the bodywork.
Front diffusers redirect the air directly to cool the replacement bateries so they perform better and for longer time. The air that does not get to the battery vent is used for downforce over the side bodywork that holds the batteries. The use of front diffusers is great not only for downforce but for handling as well.
The front and rear diffusers generate more than 40% of the total downforce of the car. There are 4 individual diffuser bands that go along all the under the car directioning the high pressure air. The diffusers have all very tall endings that make a higher vacuum effect sticking the car to the ground and under vertical wings (red parts) that focus the airflow in one direction.

06 WM SCALE Small weight measurament device. The WM scale makes for a great portable weight scale. Its pocket friendly but with a lot of weighting area. Its great for the measure of low density “goods.. or liquids. For the WM scale, Portability and precision is the key.
MOODBOARD / VISUAL STYLE
As the growing aceptance of medical marihuana, this design is aimed to solve common problems that regular scales have. While all the common scales are practical or functional, this scale is portable but also has a lot of wheigt area.
The WM scale is the result of a redesign exercise where there was need to add value to an existing product. The original scale was 5.5 times bigger, All the electric components are the same size and form. Everything is used but the speakers, Everything is arranged in a more space saving manner to make it portable,(with the plus of the unfolding space for bigger weighting area) The product is designed for easy manufacture and assembly, All the pieces are designed to use max 2 molds and they have space for cable management.
The small and portable design can be unfoldable, this makes for bigger weighting area on a rectangular rubber container. this allows not only to have an incremental space but also the ability to weight liquids without the need of a extra container.
The design measurements (14.0 cm x 8.0 cm x 2.5 cm) are pocket friendly. The minimal and clean design approach make it suitable for medical (or recreative) purposes.
