Admission Requirements

Course Subjects

English Language: - IELTS 5.5 with 5.0 in all bands, or equivalent; or - Completing an English (ELICOS) course; or - A pass grade or better in an English language subject at Australian Year 12 level or overseas equivalent; or - Completion of at least one year of full-time study at secondary, post-secondary or tertiary level taught in English, and; - In addition, passing an approved test (IIB VET English Placement Test) Education & Experience: - Successful completion of Australian Year 12 or equivalent, or; - Completion of Certificate IV or higher qualification(s), or; - Demonstrate vocational experiences in a range of work environments with minimum skills, knowledge and resources necessary for you to succeed in the course Age: - Must be at least 18 years of age at course commencement. Transfers: - IIB does not accept students before they have completed six months of their primary course if enrolled with another provider. Interview: - Undergo a Learner’s Needs (to access the student’s level of language, literacy and numeracy) interview.

You must complete and pass the required eight units of competency in the BSB50215 Diploma of Business qualification including: - BSBADV602 Develop an advertising campaign - BSBHRM602 Manage human resources strategic planning. - BSBMKG609 Develop a marketing plan - BSBSUS501 Develop workplace policy and procedure for sustainability. - BSBMKG608 Develop organizational marketing objectives. - BSBMGT615 Contribute to organisation development - BSBINN601 Lead and manage organisational change - BSBMGT617 Develop and implement a business plan IIB implements an academic course progress policy (under Standards 8 of the National Code 2018) and may also use attendance monitoring to ensure that the student can complete the program within the expected duration, as specified in the student’s Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE).

Course objectives This qualification has been designed by industry professionals and will teach you a broad range of general business skills in managing meetings and people, leading projects and understanding customer service and human resources. Obtain relevant knowledge you need to support in an entrepreneurial start-up and ensure you are equipped with the skills sought-after by employers. This course is for people desiring to work or develop their skills in a wide range of administrative and/or managerial positions within small, medium or large organizations in a broad range of industries.

Assessment Assessment has been designed based on vocational course requirements, and could involve questionnaires, assignment, individual/group based tasks and/or presentations.
