Getting Approved to Foster or Adopt by David Grislis | Mar 8, 2022 | Adoption & Foster Care, David Grislis

To become a foster or adoptive parent, a person must fill out an application form. The form asks questions about their character, life skills, and experience. It also asks them to list any relevant education and references. However, there are other steps involved before a person can get approved.

Home Inspection An inspector will inspect the ceiling for leaks and make sure the walls are straight and not bowed out. A person needs to have smoke detectors on each floor, and a carbon monoxide detector in the basement must be new. The inspector will also look at the railing and make sure it’s sturdy and strong. They will also measure any stairs with his tape measure and make sure they are of the required width. davidgrislis.org/getting-approved-to-foster-or-adopt/
